Primary Purpose Of The Job<br><br>Carries out troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, overhaul and calibration of different types of field instruments installed in any plant/unit of Qatar Energy Refinery as assigned by Lead Instrument Engineer.<br><br>Required Experience And Skills<br><br>At least 6 years of experience as Instrument technician in Refinery, Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry with sound knowledge in measurement principles, installation, commissioning, maintenance and overhauling of various field instruments. Knowledge on hazardous area classification, smart field instruments interface with DCS and PLC is desirable. The role provides technical assurance for procurement, fabrication, welding, construction, inspection, testing, and material quality, while promoting a proactive "Quality at Source" culture to enhance asset reliability, mechanical integrity, and process safety.
The position also maintains compliance with ISO/IEC 17020 requirements by implementing and continually improving the Inspection Body Management System, supporting accreditation, and ensuring effective quality management practices across the Asset Integrity function.
