About the job SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER DATA - T24 MODERNISATION (BANKING)
<p><strong>Role Overview</strong><br>This is a senior delivery role responsible for leading and governing all data migration, transformation, reconciliation, cleansing, governance, testing, cutover, and data readiness activities for the T24 Core Banking Modernisation programme at a leading Qatar-based financial institution. </p><br><p>The Data Workstream PM will own the end-to-end data migration strategy and execution across the transition from legacy T24 modules to the target T24 platform and all downstream peripheral systems. The role combines deep technical data migration expertise with strong programme management capability and the ability to manage multiple SI vendors simultaneously.<strong><br>Key Responsibilities</strong><br>Data Migration Strategy & Scope<br>Establish the overall data migration strategy and define migration methodologies, incremental delta load approaches, extraction strategies, and distribution frameworks for newly introduced T24 modules and downstream reporting environments. Manage documentation of all source systems, target systems, data mappings, and peripheral solutions. Coordinate source-to-target mapping workshops involving Business SMEs, IT SMEs, and peripheral application owners. Govern development of transformation logic and code transformation rules. Ensure downstream systems receive required transformed data and remain synchronised post go-live.<br>Data Extraction & Cleansing<br>Coordinate application owners and database administrators to extract data from legacy T24 modules including FT, LD, MM, and related domains. Partner with business stakeholders to execute data cleansing and remediation activities. Drive data quality improvement initiatives and ensure only cleansed, validated, and trusted data enters the target platform.<br>Vendor & Governance Management<br>Manage and coordinate SI vendors responsible for migration and reconciliation activities. Govern all SI data migration delivery, provide guidance and support to delivery teams, and hold vendors accountable for agreed deliverables and quality standards. Establish migration standards, validation rules, and sign-off criteria. Ensure full compliance with data privacy, masking, and regulatory requirements throughout the programme.<br>Mock Migration & Loading<br>Coordinate scheduling and execution of multiple mock migration cycles. Validate ETL performance, speed, and migration accuracy across each run. Optimise migration windows, minimise production downtime during final cutover, and reduce extraction and loading durations. Coordinate parallel loading into downstream systems while maintaining synchronisation with T24.<br>Reconciliation & Testing<br>Oversee development of automated reconciliation capabilities. Validate reconciliation across General Ledger balances, customer balances, loan portfolios, product balances, and customer records. Lead triage and resolution of all migration-related defects.<br>Cutover<br>Own detailed minute-by-minute cutover runbooks covering freeze periods, extraction windows, load sequences, validation checkpoints, and execution steps. Secure readiness approvals from Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and IT stakeholders. Define rollback procedures and recovery mechanisms and ensure preservation of data integrity in rollback scenarios.<br>Workstream Management<br>Plan, organise, track, govern, and report all data-related workstream activities. Manage cross-functional dependencies and issues. Provide regular status updates to the Programme PMO and executive stakeholders.<strong><br>Essential Skills & Experience</strong><br>Minimum 12 years of experience in data management, data migration, or IT programme management with at least one full lifecycle core banking migration programme as a senior lead. </p><br><p>Deep hands-on expertise in large-scale ETL design, build, and execution in a banking environment. Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ODS environments, and downstream integration impact assessment. </p><br><p>Proven experience leading data governance, data quality management, and reconciliation frameworks on a core banking programme. </p><br><p>Experience managing and holding accountable multiple SI vendors on a concurrent data migration delivery. Experience with regulatory reporting data migrations and compliance with data privacy and masking requirements. PMP or equivalent project management certification. Primarily responsible for reviewing the credit worthiness and financial feasibility of the individual project financing proposals based on analysis of current and future market conditions, debt service capability of the expected cash flows and other financial information of the individual borrowers and projects. Ensure QNB’s interests are adequately safeguarded before recommending approval of the credit. Provides support to Relationship Manager in the preparation of Credit Summary Report, credit proposals and other credit and business memos, in accordance with Credit Policy and procedures and adequately address all relevant risk factors and ensure that international credit standards, procedures, requirements and practices are adhered to. Primarily responsible for the review, completion and execution of appropriate, legal and security documents, and other supporting documents as required by law for the respective Global Structured Finance transaction. Primarily responsible to ensure that transaction’s legal and security documents are legally binding and enforceable to protect the interests of the Bank, and ensures that all legal, credit and administrative requirements are met in accordance with Credit Policy, Regulatory convention and international market standards, practices and norms. Primarily responsible for the proper and efficient execution of Global Structured Finance deals, including communicating and interfacing with clients, banks and other third parties involved in Global Structured Finance transactions, in line with the function’s policies and procedures and in consideration of the Bank’s obligations towards its clients and bank counterparties. Liaises with the other parties comprising the project financing consortium, which would be dependent on the role assigned to the other parties within the consortium. Ensures that copies of duly executed Facility Agreement and other legal and security documents, including conditions precedent, are immediately provided to Credit Department and Agency Unit as per procedures of the Bank. Responsible for collating and storing information on the Unit's transactions, activities, and performance in a timely, accurate and efficient manner as required by the existing procedures. Maintains and updates data base for Unit’s activities, customer contacts, existing and potential clients’ information, transactions and deal pipelines, banking opportunities and other relevant and critical information for the Unit. Provides support to Relationship Manager for conducting required periodic reviews and updates for existing Global Structured Finance transactions’ performance, and other risk assessment techniques in line with Credit Risk Policies and requirements. Maintains and updates standard and user friendly business and financial reports using an internal data warehouse and all relevant public information sources as per Global Structured Finance Unit team requirement and inquiries. Responsible for preparation and delivery of periodic as well as ad hoc MIS reports on transactional and Unit performance against approved business plans, budgets, goals and objectives. Supports the Unit, by providing technical, operational, credit and management guidance and supervision, to enable them to perform their functions and responsibilities efficiently and effectively. Is responsible for preparing, and periodically updating as per Unit’s requirements, QNB Credentials, Marketing presentations, Market update Reports, League Tables, Work in Progress, Deals Done and Deals Turned down reports and other industry and market reports that record market activities and QNB’s participation in such transactions and ranking in the industry. Implement the ‘one-point of contact’ approach to respond to and resolve all customer’s and other parties’ needs and queries pertaining to Global Structured Finance transactions. Performs cross selling activities to enhance QNB’s overall relationship with customers by coordinating activities with other QNB units/ departments. Ensures adherence to all QNB Group policies procedures and regulatory requirements. Interprets and applies customer research and feedback into tangible product development initiatives by providing inputs to relevant units of the QNB Group. Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles. Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools. Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Transport supplies to bar set-up area. Wash soiled glassware. Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Process all payment methods. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank. Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
