1. JOB PURPOSEThe Comp Ex Certified E&I QC Inspector shall be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) works in hazardous areas as per Comp Ex standards. The role involves inspection, testing, verification, and documentation of E&I installations to ensure adherence to project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.<br><br>2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPerform quality control inspections on all Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) installations in hazardous areas as per Comp Ex certification requirements. Verify compliance of E&I equipment, cabling, glanding, and terminations with IECEx/ATEX standards and project specifications. Conduct inspections of explosion-proof equipment, intrinsically safe circuits, and pressurized enclosures. Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and quality documentation prior to execution. Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional testing of E&I systems and components. Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and ensure timely closure of corrective actions. Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors, and project management to resolve quality-related issues. Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and as-built documentation. Ensure all E&I works comply with safety protocols, hazard area classifications, and client HSE requirements. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments as required<br>.<br>3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEComp Ex Certification (Competency in Explosive Atmospheres) – Mandatory. Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I QC Inspector in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects. Proven experience in hazardous area inspections and compliance with IECEx/ATEX standards. Knowledge of international codes and standards: IEC 60079, NEC 500/505, API, ASME. Valid offshore medical certificate and BOSIET / HUET certification (preferred). Oversee hard and soft FM services delivered through appointed FM Service Providers, maximizing estate uptime and reducing reactive helpdesk demand. Review, update and implement preventive maintenance programmes and asset management strategies. Handle escalated operational issues swiftly and effectively. Lead the transition/handover of the tower from the fitout to the operation. Lead the mobilisation of the incoming FM Service Provider. Own budget control and financial reporting. Review and validate FM-related invoices, recommending payment against agreed performance metrics. Oversee Service Provider contracts, including quality auditing of FM service delivery. Apply best-practice commercial management to control and reduce operational costs. Oversee the efficiency of the procurement and contract management function. Ensure compliance with all health, safety and regulatory requirements across the facility. Lead, manage and develop the direct reports within the FM Managing Agent team. Review team knowledge, skills and competencies, identifying targeted development opportunities. Prepare and present regular performance reports, KPIs and management dashboards to stakeholders. <br><br>Requirements:<br><br>Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 7+ years of facilities management experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or managing agent role. Technical Knowledge: Strong command of hard and soft FM services, building systems, contract management, budget control and asset management. Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams, service providers and complex FM operations. Certifications: A recognized FM certification (e.g., IFMA FMP, RICS, or equivalent) is preferred. Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken). Systems & Tools: Proficient in CAFM systems, MS Office, and FM reporting/management software. Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and client/stakeholder management skills. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement FM strategies aligned with client objectives. <br><br>Location<br><br>This is an on-site role based in Qatar.
