<p>Responsible for delivery of General Engineering Training to cadets within the BAE Systems Qatar Technical Institute in Doha, Qatar. The Instructor/Assessor will deliver a range of training modules, across the General Engineering programme or within their Mechanical/ Electrical /Armament trade boundary . The successful delivery of the modules will contribute toward the learners attainment of externally accredited qualifications. The Instructor/Assessor will assess learner performance, in accordance with the assessment strategy in force for the modules. Assessment of learners may take place from within or outside of their trade boundary, to allow for independence. The Instructor/Assessor will actively contribute to the continuing improvement of the QTI, through identification of ideas and embracing the suggestions of others. PLANT INSPECTOR - QATAR<br><br>Job Purpose<br><br>Execute and support inspection activities during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset to ensure a safe, efficient and reliable operation of the new facilities by early defect detections in accordance with established policies, procedures, instructions and targets.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Carries out external visual examinations complemented with NDT examination as required on Company equipment such as vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, pressure safety devices, piping, lifting equipment according to Company established policies and procedures and issues inspection reports. Performs preliminary integrity assessment of static equipment and piping according to Company established policies and procedures, interprets findings and issues inspection reports using Meridium or similar software. Inspects maintenance and capital project works being carried out in the field, to ensure that established maintenance practices and procedures are followed for welding, painting, fabrication and installation as per policy and in compliance with relevant applicable international codes and standard. Carries out or supervises NDT tests on mechanical equipment and piping according to the instructions from Supervisor or Corrosion Engineer. Tests include dye penetrant examination, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, hardness tests, eddy current, IRIS, thermography, PMI, Metallography, boroscopy and use of special equipment to determine DFT of paint and ferrometer for stainless steel welding tests and other tests and inspections as required. Follows all required safety procedures while carrying out the work. Initiates inspection recommendation using Meridium and/or via appropriate notification and tracks progress to completion to ensure mitigation of potential risks. Conduct regular quality audits and surveillance inspections to assess compliance with quality management systems and site procedures. Monitor execution of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and specialist systems installations for quality compliance. Verify compliance of construction activities with approved method statements and inspection requirements. Coordinate with resident engineers, discipline engineers, contractors, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues. Identify quality risks, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities, recommending corrective measures where necessary. Prepare quality performance reports, audit findings, inspection summaries, and KPI dashboards for project management and clients. Maintain accurate quality records, inspection logs, material approval registers, and project documentation. Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and operational readiness activities from a quality assurance perspective. Review handover documentation, as-built records, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and quality dossiers. Verify project closeout documentation and ensure final quality dossiers are complete and compliant with contractual requirements.
