Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession <br><br>Typical Responsibilities<br><br> Produce, review, and take responsibility for the accuracy of detailed calculations, Civil engineering datasheets and drawings to specify the Civil engineering requirements of our projects Having sound experience in the design and analysis of new and existing buildings, structures, foundations, infrastructure and civil works including drainage design, roads and pavement design commonly found in oil & gas facilities. Having good experience in the design of both concrete and steel structures including piperacks, buildings, technological structures, equipment supporting structures, pipe bridges, pipe supports, pipe sleepers, etc. Having good experience in the design and checking of different types of foundations such as isolated, combined, raft etc including dynamic foundations, equipment foundations, compressor foundations, pump foundations, underground pits/structures, etc. Having good experience both working and checking level for the adequacy checks for the existing structures and foundations including piperacks, buildings, pipe bridges, technological structures, equipment foundations, etc. Must have executed recent projects in Intergraph Smart Plant 3D modeling environment Supervise less experienced civil engineers and, where required, be line manager for civil engineers within Qatar office. As required, perform the role of Lead Engineer including estimating and planning work as well as progress reporting. <p>Develop project initiation programmes covering all stages of the development lifecycle.</p><p>Develop and maintain an integrated project progress control system covering all project phases.</p><p>Prepare detailed planning programmes and execution plans for each stage of project development.</p><p>Effectively present project programmes, schedules, and plans to project stakeholders.</p><p>Review supplier programmes to ensure compliance with the approved project schedule, detailed execution plans, and progress monitoring systems.</p><p>Monitor suppliers’ rates of progress and performance to ensure alignment with the approved project baseline and overall project objectives.</p><p>Identify schedule slippage, develop recovery and mitigation plans, and coordinate their implementation with suppliers and relevant project teams.</p><p>Assist in reviewing and analysing supplier claims, extensions of time, and schedule-related submissions to ensure appropriate and timely responses.</p><p>Coordinate the close-out of planning and project controls activities for each project, ensuring that all records, schedules, and relevant data are accurately maintained and properly archived.</p><p>Review and understand all relevant project documentation, contractual requirements, specifications, and conditions affecting project execution.</p><p>Establish project control procedures and determine the appropriate resources required for their effective implementation.</p><p>Develop, in coordination with the Project Manager and Client, a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the project.</p><p>Establish, communicate, and maintain approved cost and schedule baselines, ensuring that effective control mechanisms are implemented to monitor project performance.</p><p>Conduct regular reviews of overall project status with the Project Controls Team and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions where required.</p><p>Ensure that all cost, planning, scheduling, progress, and document control reports are prepared accurately and in accordance with the approved Project Control Manual.</p><p>Perform other planning and project controls duties as assigned by the Planning Manager, Project Director, or Senior Project Manager.</p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2>
<div data-jb-field="skills"><p>Minimum <b>15 years of experience</b> in planning and scheduling construction projects, including at least <b>7 years of specialized experience in planning and programming high-quality, complex, and phased projects</b>.</p><p>Proven proficiency in industry-standard planning and scheduling software, particularly <b>Primavera P6</b>, with strong experience in developing, analyzing, updating, and monitoring detailed project schedules.</p><p>Preference will be given to candidates holding <b>Chartered Engineer (CEng)</b> or <b>Professional Engineer (PE)</b> status. However, this is not essential where the candidate can demonstrate a strong track record of successfully planning and delivering high-quality, phased projects that remained operational and accessible to the public during construction.</p><p>Demonstrated experience in <b>schedule development, schedule analysis, cost planning, progress monitoring, and project controls</b>, using <b>Primavera Enterprise</b> and <b>Primavera Contract Management</b> or equivalent systems.</p><p><b>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering</b> or a closely related engineering discipline.</p><p><b>UPDA Certification</b> is preferred.</p><p><b>Fluency in Arabic is required</b>, with strong written and verbal communication skills.</p><p><b>PMI-SP / PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) Certification</b> is preferred.</p><p><b>MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification</b> in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is considered an advantage.</p></div>

About the Role <p>Our client is seeking a SCADA Cyber Security Engineer to support the secure operation of critical operational technology (OT) environments across a major infrastructure network.
