The position aims to attract a high-level professional leader or practitioner-academic, possessing extensive leadership experience and a distinguished record in public administration, public policy, governance, public sector management, and the development of public institutions and services, or related fields.<br><br>The Professor of Practice plays a pivotal role in bridging academic knowledge with actual practice in public sector institutions, particularly in teaching and qualifying executive students and those with professional experience. Actively participating in curriculum development, mentoring and advising students, program development, committees, and the academic and institutional life of the School and the Institute.<br><br>Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:<br><br>Applicants must possess a distinguished professional and leadership record that embodies the nature of the Professor of Practice position, and the ability to translate practical experience into high-level applied education and training, and effectively connect the program with public sector institutions.<br><br>Hold a PhD in Public Administration or a related field, or an advanced professional degree such as a DPA, or possess an exceptional record of high-level professional and leadership experience and achievement, along with academic or intellectual involvement appropriate to the nature of the Professor of Practice position. Possess advanced leadership experience in government, public administration, public sector management, policy formulation and implementation, institutional development and administrative reform, public services, governance, international organizations, or related fields. They will be part of oncall rota that involves providing front line care by covering the Emergency department and the inpatient services. They will perform Fracture reductions other emergency procedures in ED when required. As oncall doctors they will also assist in Emergency theatres for orthopaedic cases.<br>As for the Outpatient services, they will be expected to run the fracture clinics under supervision of Attending surgeon. There will also be opportunities to see patients in regular elective clinics under supervision. They will be regular elective theatre sessions.<br>For the inpatient services, they will function within the Department of Surgery to assist in the care of the Orthopedic patients. Care is delivered as part of an interprofessional team. The Specialist is responsible for assessment of patients as well as carrying out the care plans. Care is on the wards as well as in the intensive care areas such as PICU, NICU, and ER. There is a variable requirement for the incumbent to work in other areas such as the operating room and clinic.
