<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented QS Engineer to manage all cost and contractual aspects of construction and marine projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating, cost control, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and variation management to ensure project financial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings and specifications
Conduct material take-offs for civil, structural, and marine works (piling, excavation, concrete, steel, rock filling, etc.)
Assist in preparing tender documents, bid evaluations, and subcontractor negotiations
Monitor project costs against budgets; prepare cost reports and forecasts
Measure and value work done for progress payments and interim certificates
Prepare and evaluate variation orders, claims, and change orders
Assist in contract administration including FIDIC or other standard contract forms
Review and verify subcontractor invoices and payment applications
Maintain cost database and historical pricing for future projects
Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs
