MECHANICAL ENGINEER / MECHANICAL ENGINEER</p><br> <strong>Primary Purpose of Job:</strong> <p>Carry out highly skilled maintenance, repair and overhaul of Rotary equipment and Minor/routine maintenance of static equipment installed at Refinery process units i.e., Refinery 1 &amp; 2, RFCC, Condensate Refinery, Utilities/Off sites, Tank Farm, Berth#6, BSV3 and Station C1 &amp; C2 at the New Gasoline and Jet Storage Facilities in MIC.</p><br> <strong>Principle / Key Responsibilities:</strong> <ol> <li> Carry out highly skilled maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Rotary equipment such as Pumps, Compressors, Steam/Gas turbines, Air fans, Mixers, Turbo Machinery etc. and minor/routine maintenance of static equipment. </li> <li> Receives verbal/written instructions from Sr. Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, obtains permit through RIS, identify, and organizes tools, tackles &amp; spares from store and completes the maintenance work as assigned with minimum supervision. </li> <li> Carries out Preventive/Corrective maintenance of all types of Rotary equipment, which includes assembly/disassembly, bearings &amp; seal renewal, alignment correction, etc. then record all activities in the PM checklist. </li> <li> To perform the lubrication of the rotary equipment including checking / filling lube oil/grease in bearing housings, oil consoles, crank cases etc. Replacement and cleaning of lube oil systems, filters, lube oil sight glasses, hydraulic oil filters, maintain auto greasing and drip-feeding systems etc. Recommend/request asset integrity team to perform oil analysis, if required. </li> <li> Coordinates closely with other maintenance disciplines and other departments to complete the assigned jobs. </li> <li> Performs major equipment overhauls and participates in shutdown works. Carries out correct measurements of clearances/tolerances using a wide range of measuring instruments such as micrometer, Vernier caliper, depth gauge, feeler gauge etc. </li> <li> Maintains equipment history and ensures correct management of work orders. </li> <li> Fully comply with&nbsp; Refinery HSE Procedures.<br><br><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<br></strong><br> <ol> <li> Qualified with a Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Technology from a recognized institution. <br> </li><li> Minimum of level 5 in English communication skills (oral/written). <br> </li><li> Extensive knowledge of Mechanical Rotary equipment. Ability to work in a multinational environment. <br> </li><li> Minimum of 8 years' experience in Refinery/Oil &amp; Gas/Petrochemical plants. Must have experience in Pumps (Single &amp; Multistage), Steam/Gas Turbines, centrifugal &amp; Reciprocating Compressors, Turbo machinery etc. <br> </li><li> Capable of using computer for creating permits in RIS, preferably having knowledge &amp; experience of using SAP &amp; MS Office (Word &amp; Excel). <br> </li><li> Age Limit: not more than 45 years old. <br> </li></ol> For the candidates selected for Off sites, Tank Farm, Berth#6, BSV3 and Station C1 &amp; C2 at the New Gasoline and Jet Storage Facilities in MIC, the job involves extensive use of company vehicle.<br> <strong>Candidate should have a valid Qatari Driving License.</strong></li> </ol> <br> <br> </div>

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems on-site to ensure that construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. You will play a key role in promoting a quality-driven culture across all phases of the project.</p><p>What You'll Be Doing:</p><ul><li>Monitoring construction activities to ensure adherence to the approved Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures.</li><li>Conducting inspections, tests, and audits on materials, workmanship, and construction processes to verify compliance with specifications and standards.</li><li>Collaborating with engineering and construction teams to identify and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.</li><li>Reviewing method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), material submittals, and construction drawings for quality compliance.</li><li>Preparing detailed inspection and test reports, quality logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as required.</li><li>Coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are understood and implemented.</li><li>Supporting the development and implementation of quality management systems (QMS) in alignment with project requirements and international standards (ISO 9001, etc.).</li><li>Participating in internal and external quality audits and following up on corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Providing training and awareness sessions to project staff on quality-related topics.</li><li>Ensuring proper documentation and traceability of quality records throughout the project lifecycle.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, subject to approval by the Engineer. Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality engineering or QA/QC roles, including at least 7 years within the construction or infrastructure sectors in a consulting environment. In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, testing procedures, and applicable standards (ASTM, BS, ISO, etc.). Experience with QA/QC systems, tools, and documentation practices in large-scale projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.</p><p>Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is preferred. Experience working on infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, drainage, or public works. Prior experience working in the Gulf region is highly desirable. Knowledge of local construction regulations and quality standards. Arabic language skills are an advantage. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively under pressure.</p>
