Job description:<br><br>JOB PURPOSE:To perform a wide range of duties relating to the mechanical installation, repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment and fixtures to ensure their efficient operation at minimum downtime complying with EHS Guidelines with a focus on continuous improvement. The Airfield Sweeping Technician performs airfield sweeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) removal operations to ensure runways, taxiways, aprons, ramps, and associated paved surfaces remain safe for aircraft operations at Al Udeid Air Base. This position supports continuous airfield operations by operating sweeping equipment and following established safety, security, and operational procedures in compliance with U. Reviews the Piping & Instrument Diagram and Drawings (P&IDs), loop drawings, hook-up drawings, instrument index, instrument datasheets, logic diagrams and other documents required to tackle issues related to field instrumentation. Perform calibrated and certified tools specific for the job type and ensure requirements for Intrinsic Safety (IS). Participates in regular Toolbox meeting with colleagues and reports all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents during operation by raising B-Safe or observation cards. Qualifications Completion of Secondary School education followed by vocational training program (TAFE). Knowledge and/or Experience 3 years’ experience as a technician in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry Technical and Business Skills Computer literate with basic knowledge in MS Office software. Good written and oral communication skills in English. Extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and calibration/testing of process control systems including Field, Panel, DCS, PLC’s instruments, vibration measurement, Fire and Gas and ESD systems. The HVAC/CRAC Technician will work in a fast-paced work environment and requires detailed working knowledge of facility equipment and operations to include facility systems operations, chillers, air conditioning, ventilation, and structural repairs. Ability to supervise, troubleshoot, and restore operations of facility systems and equipment scheduling preventive maintenance assignment and work orders.
