Supervise the work of relevant discipline Engineers and Superintendents and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and cost-effective solutions are adopted Fully understands the COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility Ensures that work under his/her control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner Review any design work carried out by third parties (vendors) and participate, HAZOP, HAZID, IPF, reliability studies, and Safety and Facilities Technical Audits Establish the actual (as opposed to design) capacities / capabilities of existing field facilities and pipelines to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimization Identify potential applications for new technology Develop actively the local staff to fulfill engineers and role Know the environmental aspects (ISO14001) of oil and gas projects design Know the safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, HAZAN, IPF classification methodology and implementation, QRA, reliability studies, Fire and Gas mapping and risk analysis techniques) Conduct life cycle cost analysis Prepare RFQ (request for quotation) technical packages for pipelines related scopes Prepare engineering, construction and material estimation, schedule, resource planning and update resource capacity planning half-yearly Provide first class engineering in one or more of the following fields; risers, subsea pipelines, landfalls, subsea manifolds, piping design and onshore / subsea pipeline. <p>* Responsible and accountable to provide technical services to Company in the areas of Health and Safety during definition, detailed design, and execution stages to ensure contractor(s) compliance with established HSE policies, guidelines, procedures, standards, and regulations.* Support and maintain strong safety culture in line with the Company vision, strategy, and values.<br>* Identify and implement risk reduction measures based on hazard identification and risk assessment studies in all areas and phases of construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning. <li>Higher National Degree (HND), or University Degree (Preferably in an Engineering discipline) or an Accredited HSE Professional Certificate Associate membership of a recognized safety institution is desirable.</li>
<li>Minimum 10 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, preferably in the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Industry, or minimum of 2 years' experience in Oil & Gas large scale EPIC project, and specifically construction projects (including greenfield and brownfield work).</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of safe work practices, international standards (e.g., ISO 45001:2018), and procedures.</li>
<li>Conversant with international standards in Environmental Management System.</li>
<li>Trained in any of the following Incident Investigation Software: TapRoot, SafetyCulture, EasyRCA, Tripod Beta, etc.</li>
<li>Competent in the use of PC including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and any other relevant software.</li>

With over 1,000 employees and 9,000 contractors operating in over 70 countries, our geographical reach and pool of talent available is unmatched in the industry.<br><br>Airswift is seeking for Construction Supervisor (Piping) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company. <br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized University. Preferably having formal training in QA/QC functional aspects<br><br>EXPERIENCE <br><br>Candidate shall be a safety leader. Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years overall experience in piping erection (UG & AG), pressure testing, mechanical completion and construction of oil and gas facilities. Experience as an EPIC Contractor supervisor is essential. Experience as a Client or PMC supervisor is preferred. Current experience in State of Qatar industrial cities and/or other GCC countries is required. Piping inspection and rotating equipment experience is an advantage, and inspection coordination experience in the. Extensive knowledge of international and industry specific piping codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI B31.3 & B31.1, SHELL DEP’s, etc. Piping, Welding / NDT inspector certificates (AWS / ASNT / CSWIP / API) would be an advantage. Extensiveexperience in pipe coating systems and procedures, including painting, galvanizing, wrapping, insulation, etc. BGAS certification would be an advantage. Extensive experience in fabrication pipe spooling, pipe supports and erection of carbon steel, stainless/alloy steel, u PVC and GRE/GRV piping systems, including pressure testing, pre-commissioning and mechanical completion inspection. Excellent written and oral English skills. Able to read piping drawings, P&ID’s and manufacturer’s instructions, etc. The candidate shall have specific stated experiences in;Greenfield/new build construction sites, o Brownfield/live process plants,Permits to work, incl Isolation & Lock Out/Tag Out of live services,Tie-in to live facilities, including testing and integration to existing systems, Extensive knowledge in Lifting Plan and Crane Studies. If candidate have Approved Lifting Supervisor Certificate it would be advantage. Stage Inspection and Testing of Construction activities as per approved ITPs Strong technical, prioritization and management skills. Good communication, influencing and interface skills. Proficient knowledge of computer programs (MSOffice, Outlook, Excel, Words, PDF, Power Point, etc) and engineering software applications relevant to the discipline.<br><br>Primary Duties And Responsibilities<br><br>Acts as a safety leader, ensuring EPIC Contractor’s work in compliance to Company Life Saving Rules and all safety and environmental regulations of Company and the State of Qatar. Reporting to the Discipline Construction Lead/Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends and recommendation for improvement. Assist functional supervisor in review and / or approval of Construction documentation, including Method Statements, JHAs, MARs etc., and attend HSE Walkthroughs. Supervise all EPIC contractors piping (Process and Utility piping system with various material pipe classes for above ground & underground piped services) installation activities are based on approved the engineering documentation and project schedule during the execution of construction activities Attend Requests For Inspections (RFIs) as per approved ITPs, including Material Receiving Inspections in coordination with Reconstruction Supervisor, and sign off relevant inspection and test reports / RFIs. Ensuring the quality of manufacturing and erection works, dimensional accuracy and orientation, accessory and inline items installed in the correct orientation and material design specification. Lead the EPIC construction contractor(s) on all mechanical aspects of the piping works. Supervise with EPIC contractor during execution of the piping installation, line check, punch clearing, hydrotest and re-instatement at site. Manage and lead final mechanical completion inspections and punch closing. Supervise the Pre-Com activities to ensure safety and the quality of the completed work. Undertake technical integrity and HSE reviews/audits Participate in process safety management Participate in PSSR and provide support to Operations pre & start up activity where instructed. Co-ordinate mobilization of contractors on site. Carryout daily checks on contractor’s staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications. Good knowledge in reading and understanding P&ID, GA, ISOs, piping standard drawings (incl support drawings) and Equipment Layout drawings. Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special comments. Reports to Snr Supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions. Sign work permits on behalf of Company and to ensure that contractor’s compliance with work permits. Participate in development of as-built drawings/documentation. Accountable for supervising contractor’s work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems and preventing accidents occurring because of negligence, by enforcing Company safety standards on the work site. Liaise and report with the QA/QC Inspector on quality related matters
