Assistant Sales Manager – Hotel Industry<br>Job Summary The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sales Manager in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve the hotel's revenue, occupancy, and business development objectives. The role will focus on generating new business, maintaining strong relationships with corporate and leisure clients, increasing room and event revenues, and supporting the overall commercial performance of the hotel. Key Responsibilities<br>Sales & Business Development Assist the Sales Manager in implementing the hotel's sales and business development strategies. <p>Job Description Compilation and updating of the requisite training manuals and tools per field Updating the Premium Master Training Attendance List and records for all trainings i.e. Fire, First Aid, Ennismore Learning. Updating of personal training history files of all employees Is familiar with Training Guidelines and People & Culture Policy issued by the Regional Head Office and ensures that they are applied accordingly. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving leisure business to Raffles & Fairmont Doha, with a strong focus on luxury leisure segments and global travel consortia. The role will develop and manage relationships with high-end leisure partners, including luxury travel advisors, consortia, and premium travel programs, to maximise room revenue and reinforce both brands positioning as leading luxury destinations in Doha.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Develop and grow a portfolio of luxury leisure accounts, including tour operators, wholesalers, DMCs, and global luxury consortia</li><li>Maintain strong knowledge of luxury leisure segments, particularly Consortia, AMEX, FHR, and Virtuoso, including program requirements and production drivers</li><li>Identify new business opportunities in key leisure source markets</li><li>Negotiate leisure contracts, preferred partner agreements, rates, and value-added inclusions in line with brand and revenue strategies</li><li>Ensure accurate rate loading, promotions, and content across all distribution platforms.</li><li>Represent Raffles & Fairmont Doha at international trade shows, roadshows, sales missions, and consortia events</li><li>Conduct sales calls, presentations, and familiarization trips for luxury travel advisors and partners.</li><li>Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and luxury travel demand to provide strategic insights.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations to optimize pricing, campaigns, and delivery of contracted business</li><li>Prepare and execute annual leisure sales plans, track production and ROI, and provide regular reports and forecasts</li><li>Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring partners understand brand positioning, guest experience, and that all contracted luxury benefits are delivered seamlessly</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>What will you bring to this role?</p><ul><li>Minimum 3 5 years of experience in leisure sales within luxury hotel/s and/or resort/s</li><li>Proven experience working with luxury consortia and premium travel programs, including Virtuoso, AMEX, and FHR</li><li>Strong understanding of global luxury travel distribution and advisor networks</li><li>Possesses strong insight into European and American luxury travel markets, including customer behavior, expectations, and purchasing drivers</li><li>Middle East market experience preferred</li><li>Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills</li><li>Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong advantage</li><li>Strong commercial and strategic mindset with a focus on luxury revenue growth</li><li>Embrace the Raffles & Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.</li><li>Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected</li><li>Create an environment where colleagues are empowered, supported and recognized</li></ul><p></p></section>
