<p>Responsible for reviewing, coordinating and managing the technical design aspects of large, multi-disciplinary sewage infrastructure projects, including sewage treatment works, pump stations, construction, refurbishment and upgrading projects. The role ensures that designs, drawings, specifications and technical submissions comply with approved design requirements, local Qatar standards and applicable international codes. The position works closely with client, contractors, technical and construction teams, planning teams, government agencies and other stakeholders to obtain approvals, resolve technical issues, minimize clashes and ensure design deliverables support the construction sequence and overall project completion.</p><p>Key Responsibilities (Internal Business Process)
Review design documents, plans and specifications for accuracy, completeness and compliance with project requirements.
Review designs against applicable Qatar standards and codes, including QHDM, QTM, WZTMG and QCS, and applicable international codes where local standards are not applicable.
Review and comment on contractors’ and consultants’ technical submissions and recommend acceptance or otherwise.
Review structural works and design and coordinate recommendations with internal and external stakeholders.
Review and approve design documents and monitor their implementation during construction.
Coordinate multi-engineering-disciplinary design activities and resolve technical interfaces and clashes.
Review shop drawings and as-built drawings against the approved design.
Coordinate design deliverables with the construction sequence and project programme.
Work with technical and construction teams to identify and resolve unforeseen technical constraints.

Ensure required documents are uploaded through the QDRS system to facilitate approvals.
Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional qualifications from a recognized international institution, with a professional career development record approved by the Engineer.
Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institution is highly desirable.
Minimum 15 years of demonstrable experience, including a minimum of 7 years on large construction projects, particularly projects involving pump stations and multi-disciplinary engineering coordination.
Demonstrable experience in sewage projects of similar size, including construction, refurbishment, upgrading, treatment works and pump stations, or equivalent construction projects.
Design review and technical design management.
Review of plans, specifications and design documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Structural design review and coordination.
Review and approval of shop drawings and as-built drawings.

Assists business development in understanding customer issues and business plans in order to market and secure new/additional work.</p><p>Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the program, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. Assigns responsibility to executing project plans for key subordinates and assesses how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.</p><p>Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates. Promotes technical excellence as well as the improvement of the Quality Improvement Process. Mobilizes Company resources, through effective liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. Works with individual lead discipline engineer to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.</p><p>Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule. Works with individual lead discipline to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the customer and Company management of any such changes.</p><p>Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and other documents for hazardous waste work. May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of customers. <p>Qualifications*</p><br><p>Bachelor's degree in engineering in mechanical engineering or subsea engineering.</p><br><p><strong>Knowledge and/or Experience:-</strong></p><br><p> 8 years offshore installation experience on vessels in Transport & Installation activities with minimum 1 years as supervisory role in related field.<br> 5 years experience as Field Engineer or site supervisor onboard installation vessels for similar activities with emphasis on de-commissioning of subsea facilities.<br> Previous work experience with other major operators or QELNG and knowledge of QELNG PTW systems is desirable but not mandatory.<br> Extensive Knowledge in subsea pipeline pre commissioning and de commissioning, pipeline pigging, subsea isolation plugs, subsea decommissioning tools.<br> Demonstrate extensive experience on pre-commissioning vessel supervision and Familiarity with international standards such as DNV-ST-F101, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API standards, ISO pipeline and offshore standards, any Client-specific offshore standard<br> Expertise in submarine pipeline decommissioning, including the use of technical plugs (e.g., STATS company isolation plugs) for safe isolation and abandonment</p><br>
