<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span><span>IT Network Technician</span><br><span>Key Responsibilities</span><br></span><ul><li><span>Install, maintain, test, label, and document copper and fiber-optic cabling across data centers, IDF rooms, and user workstations.</span><br></li><li><span>Perform CAT6 cable termination and crimping, fiber-optic splicing, testing, and connectivity verification.</span><br></li><li><span>Install, connect, configure, and troubleshoot switches, routers, servers, PCs, IP phones, printers, IPTV set-top boxes, and related peripherals.</span><br></li><li><span>Diagnose and resolve Layer 1 connectivity issues involving cables, ports, patch panels, connectors, and network devices.</span><br></li><li><span>Monitor servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and reliable operation.</span><br></li><li><span>Support LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, and VPN connectivity and use network monitoring tools to identify faults.</span><br></li><li><span>Maintain data center and IDF cabling according to passive cabling standards and approved documentation practices.</span><br></li><li><span>Support server installation, rack-and-stack activities, test environment setup, and modification of existing equipment configurations.</span><br></li><li><span>Inspect and provide basic technical support for UPS systems, including DC UPS equipment.</span><br></li><li><span>Maintain accurate maintenance schedules, repair logs, fault records, cable documentation, and equipment configuration details.</span><br></li><li><span>Maintain an updated inventory of IT assets, including switches, routers, servers, IP phones, IPTV devices, and other infrastructure components.</span><br></li><li><span>Identify shortages of computer, network, and cabling equipment and report requirements to the concerned authority.</span><br></li><li><span>Apply IT security principles, safety procedures, and industry best practices while performing technical activities.</span><br></li><li><span>Work independently and coordinate effectively with technical teams, users, vendors, and project stakeholders.</span><br></li></ul>INTERESTED CANDIDATES CAN SEND CV TO 31313903/ bency@madre-me.com<br><br><span>Requirements<span>Requirements</span><br></span><ul><li><span>Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.</span><br></li><li><span>Minimum five years of experience as an IT Network Technician, Network Support Technician, or in a similar role.</span><br></li><li><span>Strong knowledge of computer systems, network infrastructure, data centers, and IDF room environments.</span><br></li><li><span>Hands-on experience with copper and fiber-optic cabling, including CAT6 crimping, termination, testing, labeling, and fiber splicing.</span><br></li><li><span>Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and Layer 1 network connectivity issues.</span><br></li><li><span>Working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLANs, VPNs, routers, switches, and network monitoring tools.</span><br></li><li><span>Experience installing and troubleshooting servers, PCs, printers, IP phones, IPTV devices, and other IT peripherals.</span><br></li><li><span>Good knowledge of passive cabling standards and structured cabling documentation.</span><br></li><li><span>Familiarity with UPS systems, including DC UPS systems.</span><br></li><li><span>Understanding of IT security principles and infrastructure best practices.</span><br></li><li><span>Ability to maintain equipment inventories, maintenance schedules, repair logs, and technical documentation.</span><br></li><li><span>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.</span><br></li><li><span>Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.</span><br></li><li><span>High proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.</span><br></li><li><span>CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft, fiber-optic, or other relevant IT certifications are preferred.</span><br></li></ul><br> </div>
