The successful candidate must have 5-10 years of Quantity Surveying experience in consultancy firms, with a proven track record in budget control and handling variations. Chartered status is preferred. The role focuses on post-contract Quantity Surveying services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle.<br>Responsibilities Carry out post-contract Quantity Surveying works in line with project and contract requirements. Conduct monthly site checks to verify completed works against approved drawings and specifications. Prepare a Monthly Schedule of Works Completed, forming the basis for interim payment certification. Review and evaluate contractors’ claims for time extensions and prepare contract variation orders. Assess and recommend contractors’ interim and final payments based on actual work progress. Maintain accurate records of materials delivered to site, collating all delivery invoices. Monitor and keep records of plant, manpower, and resources deployed at site. Collect and verify test results, issuing them to the Client for compliance verification. Carry out mark-up of drawings for underground works, including line, level, and position checks. Prepare cost reports, variation logs, and cash flow forecasts for project monitoring. Support the Resident Engineer and Project Manager in all post-contract commercial and contractual matters. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in managing all cost and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring effective financial control, contract compliance, and value management throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves reviewing contractor payments, assessing variations and claims, and maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting. The Quantity Surveyor plays a key role in evaluating cost impacts, ensuring proper valuation of works, and supporting change management and contractual processes. Working closely with planning, technical, and project teams, the role ensures alignment between cost, scope, and schedule, while providing reliable commercial insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and successful project delivery.</p><p>Your role</p><ul><li>Support the Project Manager in cost control, commercial management, payment review, change management, claims review and cost reporting throughout the project duration.</li><li>Review Contractor payment applications and provide recommendations to the Client in accordance with the agreed governance and approval process.</li><li>Support the review of variations, change requests, claims, EOT cost implications, cost impacts, provisional sums, commercial risks, forecasts, cash flow and cost reports.</li><li>Maintain commercial registers, variation registers, payment records, cost reports and other commercial tracking documents required for project reporting and decision-making.</li><li>Coordinate with the Project Manager, senior discipline engineers, planning engineer and document control team to ensure commercial assessments are supported by appropriate technical, programme and contractual information.</li><li>Support the assessment of contractor submissions in relation to quantities, rates, valuation, cost substantiation, scope changes and commercial entitlement, and provide recommendations for Client review and decision.</li></ul><p><br></p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p><b>About you</b></p><ul><li>Strong experience in cost management, contract administration, payment assessment, variation assessment, claims support and commercial reporting.</li><li>Experience in data centre, mission-critical, MEP-intensive, industrial or technically complex projects will be preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with project controls, cost reporting, contract administration and the commercial management requirements of multidisciplinary construction projects in Qatar or the wider region.</li><li>Ability to work closely with planning and technical teams to assess time and cost impacts, support EOT reviews and maintain commercial visibility for the Client.</li><li>Knowledge of construction contracts, change control processes, payment procedures and commercial reporting protocols will be required.</li></ul><p></p></section>

<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><br><p>The Application Engineer assists customers by identifying the best solution for their application, offers and sells complete product solutions from the <strong>Flow Controls</strong> portfolio, provides commercial and technical support to customers, and strives to deliver the highest standards of customer service while working closely with peers, Outside Sales, Service Engineers, Business Managers, and other stakeholders.</p><br><p>The Application Engineer will be based in Kuwait or Qatar. Key customers include NOC, Dolphin Energy, QAFCO, QChem, QELNG, and QE in Qatar, as well as KOC, KNPC, and Equate in Kuwait.</p><br><p><strong>In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:</strong></p><br><ul><li>Provide Applications Engineering, technical, and pricing support to customers in Qatar and Kuwait, including technical presentations and site walkdowns.</li><li>Perform sizing and selection of control valves and other FCV products, review project specifications, and prepare deviation lists.</li><li>Prepare customer quotations that are timely, technically accurate, commercially verified, and offer the best overall solution.</li><li>Conduct direct customer technical sales calls, order closeouts, site walkdowns, and prepare associated reports.</li><li>Coordinate with GIS and Engineering teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions for severe-service applications and complex products.</li><li>Present detailed technical solutions and recommendations to customers.</li><li>Follow up on quotations with customers and the outside sales team until purchase orders are secured.</li><li>Ensure purchase orders are commercially and technically compliant before order entry and process error-free orders to the appropriate factories.</li><li>Coordinate with Project Management, Order Entry, and Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) teams to provide clean orders to factories and support customers with post-order documentation and requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with the Flow Control Sales Manager and Application Manager to achieve sales targets and departmental KPIs.</li><li>Maintain records and information within Emerson systems and tools, including SharePoint and CRM platforms.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Emerson Trade Compliance, Quality Management procedures, and Ethics policies.</li><li>Stay current with product developments, industry trends, and market requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p><br><ul><li>Experienced in control valve products, applications, and Fisher sizing and selection tools.</li><li>Experienced in selling control valve products and services to hydrocarbon, chemical, and petrochemical end users.</li><li>Knowledgeable in industrial standards related to control valve design, manufacturing, and testing processes.</li></ul><p><strong>For This Role, You Will Need</strong></p><br><ul><li>Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the process control industry, including control valve products and applications.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical) or equivalent.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart</strong></p><br><ul><li>Experience with control valve sizing and selection tools, including Fisher FF2.</li><li>Strong interpretation skills related to engineering drawings, specifications, and P&amp;ID documentation.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Ability to make sound technical decisions based on engineering principles, standards, and applicable codes.</li><li>Ability to interact effectively with customers and adapt to diverse cultural environments.</li></ul><p><span><span><strong>Our Culture and Commitment To You</strong></span></span></p><br><p><span><span>At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
