Job Summary <br> <p>The Assistant Vice President, Asset Management Middle Office / Performance & Risk Analyst is responsible for calculating, analyzing, and reporting portfolio performance and risk metrics across QNB Asset Management’s investment products. Review investment portfolios, risk management frameworks, and related operational processes to verify adequacy of controls and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. <br><br>Wealth Management and Asset Management Audits<br><br> Execute risk-based audits of Wealth Management and Asset Management functions, focusing on investment governance, client suitability, and operational controls. <br><br>Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting Audits<br><br> Internal Financial Control over Financial Reporting framework and end-to-end processes: Conduct end-to-end audits of the ICOFR framework and process in accordance with the COSO requirements, QFMA, QCB and Qatar Exchange requirements. Key Liquidity and Funding Regulatory Ratios: Liquidity and Funding Ratios (LCR, NSFR, Credit-Deposit Ratio, Net Open Position) ALM methodologies, assumptions, and models Review compliance with QCB and international reporting standards. <br><br>Other Accountabilities<br><br>ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Reviews<br><br> Periodically review the Bank’s ESG framework, related methodologies, and KPI verification processes as reported to the Qatar Central Bank. Evaluate ESG integration into business and risk frameworks, in accordance with regulatory requirements. <br><br>Transaction Banking and Cash Management Audits<br><br> Audit Transaction Banking – Conduct risk based audits of Cash Management Business services and solutions, corporate portals (CTP, CIB), corporate onboarding processes. <br><br>Audit of Real Estate Activities and Property Management<br><br> Conduct risk audits of Real Estate activities, covering Property and Facility Management, Regulatory Approvals, Sales & Marketing, and related operational areas. Knowledge of Real Estate laws in Qatar, including ISO and other leading standards for property management, facility management etc. <br><br>Audit Planning and Execution<br><br> Develop Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs) and Audit Plans (APs) for all reviewable units, updating them based on evolving risk profiles. Prepare planning memoranda outlining objectives, scope, and key risks for each assignment. Identify control design weaknesses, process inefficiencies, ineffective controls, and operational risks through analytical testing and stakeholder discussions. <br><br>Reporting and Finalization <br><br> Draft concise and well-structured audit findings and reports, focusing on material risk issues and business impact. Facilitate management discussions, obtain responses, and agree on corrective action plans. Present findings in opening, interim, and closing meetings with senior management. Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with business, risk, and operations teams. <br><br>Follow-up and Continuous Improvement<br><br> Track and monitor remediation of audit findings and ensure timely closure of open issues. Maintain comprehensive audit working papers in line with IIA and QCB standards. Ensure accurate documentation in the Audit Management System (AMS). <br><br>Qualifications, Experience And Key Competencies<br><br> Required Qualification: <br><br>Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) (and/or) Masters in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, etc.<br><br>Required Experience Profile: 8+ years of Experience in Top-Tier Bank Credit Review and Internal Audit Functions / Big 4 Audit Experience / Top Financial Services Consulting Firms, etc.<br><br>Summary of Preferred Key Competencies: High degree of proficiency in:<br><br> In-depth knowledge and analysis of the Bank’s products, businesses, policies, procedures and the overall regulatory environment. This includes knowledge of leading Business, Credit and Risk Standards issued by Senior Regulators, Basel, etc. Knowledge of Basel III, Capital Adequacy Standards, IFRS 9 Standards, IOSCO Wealth Management Standards etc. , Key Internal Control Standards issued by Basel, Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO), etc. Keen attention for details, Accuracy and going the extra mile to deliver high value and timely results.
