Application Deadline: 31 August 2026Department: Finance & Procurement Location: Qatar - Doha<br><br>Description<br><br>The Credit Manager is a key leadership role within the hotel’s finance and accounting department. This position is responsible for overseeing the hotel's credit and collection operations, minimizing bad debt exposure, and maximizing cash flow. The Credit Manager ensures that credit is extended only to creditworthy clients (such as corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event planners) and that all outstanding balances are collected in a timely, professional manner, adhering to both hotel policies and local financial regulations.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Key Responsibilities1. Credit Operations & Risk Management<br>Evaluate and process credit applications for corporate accounts, wholesale agents, and large groups/events.<br><br>Establish credit limits and payment terms based on credit bureau reports, financial statements, and reference checks.<br><br>Monitor guest ledgers, city ledgers, and advanced deposit ledgers for any potential credit risks or discrepancies.<br><br>Review and approve high-balance guest accounts daily during their stay.<br><br>2. Collections & Accounts Receivable<br><br>Oversee the timely billing of all city ledger accounts (accounts receivable).<br><br>Follow up diligently on overdue invoices via phone, email, and formal correspondence.<br><br>Coordinate with the Sales and Events teams to resolve billing disputes or client queries that may delay payment.<br><br>Manage the collection process for delinquent accounts, including coordinating with external legal or collection agencies if necessary.<br><br>3. Financial Reporting & Analysis<br><br>Prepare and analyze monthly Aging Reports (Accounts Receivable aging).<br><br>Conduct monthly credit meetings with the Director of Finance and General Manager to review outstanding debts and write-off risks.<br><br>Maintain an accurate provision for doubtful accounts and recommend bad debt write-offs when necessary.<br><br>Ensure accurate month-end closing procedures for the accounts receivable module.<br><br>4. Team Collaboration & Policy Enforcement<br><br>Work closely with Front Office, Reservations, and Sales teams to ensure adherence to the hotel’s credit policy.<br><br>Train Front Desk and Food & Beverage staff on proper payment handling, credit card verification, and billing procedures.<br>Ensure compliance with local financial laws, Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards, and corporate internal controls.<br><br><br><br>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise<br><br><br>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.<br><br><br>Experience: 3–5 years of experience in credit and collections, ideally within the hospitality industry (luxury or large-scale hotel experience is highly preferred).<br><br><br>Technical Skills: * Proficiency with Hospitality Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or Infor HMS.<br><br>Strong command of accounting software and Advanced MS Excel.<br><br><br>Soft Skills: * Exceptional negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.<br><br>Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.<br><br>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to handle sensitive financial conversations with high-profile clients.

Assistant Farm Manager – Livestock & Vegetation<br>Job Summary<br>We are looking for an experienced Assistant Farm Manager to support the day-to-day management of a farm with both livestock and vegetation/crop operations. The role will assist in supervising farm activities, livestock care, crop and plantation maintenance, irrigation, farm workers, equipment, and general farm operations while ensuring productivity, hygiene, safety, and proper resource utilization. Key Responsibilities<br>Livestock Management Assist in managing daily livestock operations, including feeding, watering, cleaning, handling, and monitoring of animals. Monitor animal health, behavior, growth, nutrition, and general condition. Coordinate with veterinarians regarding vaccinations, treatments, breeding, and disease prevention. Maintain proper livestock housing, hygiene, sanitation, and biosecurity standards. Monitor feed, fodder, supplements, medicines, and livestock-related inventory. Maintain accurate records of animal numbers, births, deaths, vaccinations, treatments, breeding, and production. Identify signs of illness, injury, stress, or abnormal animal behavior and report them promptly. Assist with breeding, calving/lambing/kidding, weaning, and other livestock activities as applicable. Ensure proper handling and movement of animals while minimizing stress and injury.<br>Vegetation & Crop Management Assist in planning and supervising planting, cultivation, harvesting, pruning, trimming, and general vegetation maintenance. Monitor the health and growth of vegetables, plants, trees, crops, grass, and other farm vegetation. Ensure appropriate irrigation, fertilization, soil preparation, pest control, and weed management. Monitor irrigation systems, water usage, pumps, tanks, and related equipment. Coordinate with farm workers for planting, harvesting, landscaping, cleaning, and maintenance activities. Identify plant diseases, pest infestations, nutrient deficiencies, and other agricultural issues. Ensure proper storage and handling of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, tools, and agricultural materials.<br>Farm Operations & Supervision Assist the Farm Manager in planning and coordinating daily farm activities. Supervise farm laborers, animal handlers, gardeners, agricultural workers, and other farm staff. Allocate daily duties and monitor employee attendance, productivity, and work quality. Ensure farm machinery, tools, vehicles, irrigation systems, and other equipment are properly maintained. Monitor consumption of feed, water, fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, fuel, and other resources. Maintain farm cleanliness, organization, and proper waste-management practices. Assist with procurement requirements and maintain adequate stock of farm supplies. Prepare daily/weekly operational reports for the Farm Manager. Support farm improvement projects, expansion activities, and implementation of modern farming practices.<br>Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with farm safety, hygiene, animal welfare, and environmental requirements. Ensure employees use appropriate PPE and follow safe working procedures. Maintain proper chemical handling and storage procedures. Ensure safe operation of farm machinery and equipment. Implement appropriate biosecurity and disease-prevention measures. Report accidents, animal incidents, equipment failures, and other operational issues immediately.<br>Required Qualifications<br>Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Horticulture, Agribusiness, or a related field. Relevant experience in farm operations involving both livestock and vegetation/crop management. Experience supervising farm workers and coordinating daily agricultural activities. Practical knowledge of livestock handling, animal care, feeding, breeding, and basic health monitoring. Knowledge of irrigation, planting, fertilization, pest control, harvesting, and vegetation maintenance. Basic understanding of farm machinery, equipment, and irrigation systems. Good record-keeping and reporting skills. Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor farm environment. Preferred Experience Experience working on large farms, farmhouses, agricultural estates, or private/villa farms. Experience handling multiple livestock species such as cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, camels, or other farm animals. Experience with vegetable cultivation, fruit trees, landscaping, greenhouse operations, or general plantation management. Experience managing farm operations in a hot or arid climate is an advantage. Veterinary or agricultural technical knowledge will be an added advantage.

Your day to day<br><br>Setting and regularly reviewing credit limits for both in-house guests and City Ledger balances. Checking updated remarks given by Front Office staff and following up any discrepancies with Front Office Manager. Following up on the collection of Returned Cheques, Credit Cards Charge Back; Skipper Accounts. Reconciling accounts receivable trial balances with the general ledger accounts each month and to ensure accurate ageing. Ensuring maintain supporting documents of all advance deposits. Handling clients' queries promptly, professionally and efficiently. Ensuring check room rates charged to travel agents are in accordance with the contract. Checking if the bills are attached with proper covering details e.g. authority letter, vouchers, or any other relevant documents supporting the charges before dispatching to customer. Delivering invoices and ensuring that the person concerned is in receipt of the same. Analyzing trends in Accounts Receivable balances or significant changes in payment pattern and to recap major collection problems for the monthly credit meetings. Conducts credit investigations, so that an intelligent appraisal of customer’s worth, character and ability to pay may be ascertained to justify extension of credit. Responsible for maintaining the debitor's ledger; Regular review of the aged trail balance, Collection calls, Identifying and following upon doubtful accounts. Reconcile all credit card charges. Ensure credit applications for all new accounts are completed and approved. Post all payments received daily. Clear city ledger accounts at month-end. Resolve all account queries. Schedule and chair the monthly credit meetings. Track advance deposits. Review the high balance report daily and follow upon any problems or doubtful accounts. Daily review Accounts Receivable ledger, monitor incoming cheques. Attend rundown meetings and advise on account set-up or any necessary payment plans. Initiate collection action for overdue accounts and prepares for legal action those accounts necessary. Reply to customer queries and send copies of accounts Reconciliation's and rebates. Liaise with Credit Card Companies Follow up collections of accounts receivable regularly in a firm but diplomatic manner, calculated to produce results and at the same time maintain good relations with the customers. Recommends write – off of un-collectable accounts with supporting document of legal correspondence or notification from right sources. Reports immediately any unfavorable information received affecting a customer’s credit standing, so that appropriate actions may be taken. Ensure that voco® Doha West Bay Suites policies and procedures granting of credit are observed.
