JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVEDevelop and implement environmental policies and programs by conducting studies, providing reports, communicating guidelines and directives from environmental authorities, evaluating its effectiveness to ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.<br>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESPeople Management Supervise the activities and work performed by the direct report to ensure that it is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, and Environmental Department’s policies and procedures. Recommend training and development interventions for the direct report to build capabilities.<br>Regulatory Environmental Compliance Maintain an updated library of environmental-related Qatari laws and regulations, international standards and industry practices, evaluate to ensure all regulatory changes are incorporated to relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and systems, complied and disseminated. Process the applications and timely renewal of all environmental permits to local authorities, including but not limited to consents to operate and environmental clearances. Ensure all concerned Units/Sections/Departments/Groups are timely updated in any changes of environmental regulatory requirements related to their respective areas, and make sure they have proper tools to monitor and report compliance. Resolve any legal environmental requirement issues with the authorities by collaborating with concerned Units/Sections/Departments/Groups in setting compliance plans to determine feasibility of new regulations/limits.<br>Environmental Policies and Programs Develop and update the Environmental Management Program to meet legal requirements and management systems along with all supporting environmental procedures for monitoring, waste management, pollution prevention and auditing. Verify daily environmental monitoring data and report non-compliances immediately to Management and concerned parties. Coordinate with the RLIC on environmental surveying studies for onshore facilities and nearby marine environment or any other similar studies. Participate in various HAZOP studies with other engineers and Safety Department and review MOC's to ensure adequate environmental controls in place. Here are below your responsibilities:<br><br>Mission<br><br>Coordinate and supervise all engineering activities related to Hook-up E&I.<br><br>Provide Hook-up expertise during the bid phase, project preparatory phases (Home Office and Yard), and offshore execution phase, for all engineering activities related to Hook-up E&I.<br><br>Ensure effective interfaces with Fabrication yards (internal or external) and Transportation & Installation (T&I) for scope definition and management of carry-over works, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective offshore execution.<br><br>Tasks<br><br>Propose engineering solutions aimed at identifying optimized configurations for transportation and installation using the available marine spread, minimizing offshore Hook-ups and improving construction sequences and methodologies Provide Hook-up E&I inputs to engineering reviews (Constructability, 3D Model Reviews, HAZID, etc.) Participate in the execution of Hook-up engineering activities, including identification of multidisciplinary Hook-up scope, preparation of Hook-up procedures, and compilation of discipline Work Packages Perform technical activities related to drawings, MTOs, job cards, constructability reviews, and engineering studies Liaise with Hook-up Planning and Control Analyst for the preparation of Hook-up Job Cards, in line with construction, installation, and commissioning plans Participate in the preparation of multi-disciplinary Hook-up procedures Prepare the Hook-up project deliverables list and ensure documents and procedures are developed, reviewed, and issued accordingly Define subcontract scopes of work and support the preparation of Technical Bid Evaluations related to Hook-up activities Prepare marine spread specifications and follow up relevant bids Ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective marine spread scheduling Verify, through dedicated surveys, the suitability of vessels to safely and efficiently support Hook-up activities, ensuring steady manpower and material supply offshore Ensure correct interfaces with other project functions during Hook-up engineering activities Collect red mark-up engineering documentation at site to support As-Built drawings preparation Support the Hook-up Manager by ensuring proper follow-up of Hook-up engineering activities from Home Office, Yard, or Site, including updates to Job Cards as required Supervise the analysis of Hook-up requirements related to Welding, Piping, Coating, and Quality Control, ensuring implementation of any special requirements ahead of offshore campaigns<br><br>What are we looking for?<br><br>Education<br><br>Engineering Degree, preferably in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) or related engineering discipline<br><br>Experience<br><br>Minimum 8 years of Oil & Gas experience as Hook-up Engineer E&IProven experience supporting Hook-up activities throughout bid, engineering, yard, and offshore phases Experience interfacing with Fabrication yards, T&I contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams Familiarity with offshore construction, Hook-up methodologies, and EPCI project execution<br><br>Languages<br><br>Proficient in English (written and spoken) Ability to work effectively within multinational project teams<br><br>Technical Skills / Knowledge<br><br>Knowledge of Hook-up E&I engineering methodologies and offshore construction practices Experience in preparation and review of Hook-up procedures, Work Packages, MTOs, and Job Cards Understanding of marine spread logistics and offshore installation constraints Awareness of HSE requirements, offshore execution risks, and quality control interfaces<br><br>IT Skills<br><br>Microsoft Office Suite Excel (tracking, logs, planning support) Word (technical documentation and procedures) Power Point (engineering and project reporting) Outlook (coordination and communication)<br>What Can We Offer To You<br><br>Permanent Contract – Project-based position Corporate Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package Working Hours: 45 hours (9 hours x 5 days) Our One Saipem Way soft skills model leverages on skills development, career growth, opportunities to innovate through complex challenges by promoting communication and collaboration to achieve common goals Location: Doha, Qatar<br><br>Additional Information<br><br>We support your development! Capture lessons learned,&nbsp;improving processes through reflective analysis.</p><br></li></ul><p><b>What we look for</b></p><br><p><b>Required:</b></p><br><ul><li><p>Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or similar.</p><br></li><li><p>10+ years of experience in low voltage, security, and telecom systems.</p><br></li><li><p>Experience in <b>EPC/FEED</b> and&nbsp;<b>Oil &amp; Gas</b>&nbsp;projects is beneficial.</p><br></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of low current systems: Access Control, CCTV, LAN, VOIP, WiFi, Fire Detection, Intercom,&nbsp;<b>PAGA</b>, Radio (UHF/VHF), etc.</p><br></li><li><p>Skilled in project planning, costing, and execution.</p><br></li><li><p>Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.</p><br></li><li><p>Able to&nbsp;<b>prepare professional documents and client communications</b>.</p><br></li><li><p>Good understanding of contracts and vendor coordination.</p><br></li></ul><p><b>Preferred:</b></p><br><ul><li><p>Experience with JCI/TYCO UAE and Oil &amp; Gas projects.</p><br></li><li><p>PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are a plus.</p><br></li><li><p>Background in Telecom System Integration (TSI) is an advantage.</p><br></li></ul> </div>
