<span>The Mechanical / Static Equipment Engineer Specialist will lead the mechanical design review, construction support, commissioning, testing, and engineering activities for new shale gas facilities.<br> The role requires extensive experience with static and rotating equipment in oil and gas production facilities, along with a strong understanding of plant operations, process technologies, equipment reliability, and maintenance.<br> The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering design and installation to commissioning, startup, operations support, and optimization.<br> The role also requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and support for Saudi Aramco's capital investment and business strategy initiatives.<br> Lead mechanical design reviews for new installation and upgrade projects.<br> Develop and review engineering design packages, PFDs, P&IDs, and technical drawings.<br> Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams.<br> Troubleshoot static and rotating equipment issues and recommend solutions.<br> Support construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.<br> Participate in Turnaround & Inspection (T&I) and performance testing activities.<br> Conduct feasibility studies and recommend technical and economic optimization solutions.<br> Lead multidisciplinary teams, prepare technical reports, and support management decisions.<br> Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering (Master’s preferred).<br> Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or gas processing facilities.<br> Strong experience in static equipment (vessels, exchangers, columns, tanks, reactors).<br> Good knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines).<br> Experience in EPC phases: FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning.<br> Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and TEMA codes and standards.<br> Working knowledge of engineering software (PVElite, CAESAR II, HTRI).<br> Strong communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.<br></span> </div>
Role: Rotating Equipment Engineer<br>The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting rotating equipment engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery in line with project requirements, budget, schedule, quality standards, and applicable HSE and QA/QC requirements.<br>Key Responsibilities Mission Execute rotating equipment engineering activities in accordance with project requirements, budget, schedule, and quality standards. Ensure effective coordination across project interfaces and maintain accurate information flow between disciplines and stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by capturing and sharing project lessons learned and best practices. Support implementation of company engineering procedures, standards, and KPI monitoring processes.<br>General Duties The Mechanical Engineer shall perform all assigned activities within their area of responsibility while ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and environmental requirements. Responsibilities by Project Phase<br>A. Technical Support and Business Development Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and project teams. Contribute technical expertise to engineering studies and client engagements as required.<br>B. Feasibility Studies Provide technical input and engineering support during feasibility and concept development phases.<br>C. Proposal and Tendering Phase Review client technical specifications and tender documentation. Prepare rotating equipment technical requisitions and inquiry documentation. Evaluate vendor quotations and perform technical bid assessments. Prepare material take-offs to support cost estimation activities. Assist in equipment cost evaluations and engineering man-hour estimates. Support proposal development activities related to rotating equipment packages.<br>D. Project Execution Review contractual technical requirements and project documentation. Coordinate engineering interfaces with other disciplines and stakeholders. Develop technical requisitions, specifications, and equipment datasheets. Participate in vendor clarification meetings and technical negotiations. Review and monitor vendor and subcontractor engineering deliverables. Perform technical evaluations and bid tabulations for rotating equipment packages. Follow assigned equipment packages through detailed engineering and procurement phases. Review vendor drawings and documentation, coordinating comments with relevant disciplines. Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and project meetings. Support development of utility requirements, electrical load lists, layouts, 3D models, and equipment routing studies. Provide support during expediting, inspection, testing, and commissioning preparation activities. Assist with document control and preparation of final project documentation. Coordinate with procurement, construction, and project management teams. Support preparation of inspection plans, equipment weight and dimension data, and construction-related engineering deliverables.<br>E. Construction and Commissioning Provide engineering support during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities. Assist in resolving technical queries and field engineering issues related to rotating equipment.<br>Candidate Requirements Education Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.<br>Experience5–10 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering within EPC, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or process industry projects.<br>Languages Fluent English, both written and spoken.<br>IT Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
