<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <ul> <li>Provide technical and discipline support for all piping and layout engineering activities related to Ethane recovery project through integrated FEED and phases ensuring that designs, studies and engineering deliverables comply with approved industry standards, safety requirements and operational objectives throughout the project lifecycle.</li> </ul><br><ul> <li>Lead the piping engineering discipline skill pool recommending the allocation of technical authorities and ensuring the provision of high-quality technical services to projects.</li> <li>Approve and endorse process engineering designs through delegated technical authorities in accordance with approved standards, codes, and specifications at all stages of the project life cycle.</li> <li>Review and assess concepts, studies, and detailed designs to assess technical suitability, compliance with standards and alignment with end user operational objectives and recommend optimized technical solutions as required.</li> <li>Develop and sustain technical competencies within the discipline by supporting capability building, knowledge transfer and continuous professional development of process engineering resources.</li> <li>Provide technical input to project execution strategies to ensure alignment with discipline and technical requirements, design philosophies and safety and operability standards.</li> <li>Recommend resources planning and deployment to meet the project execution requirements including technical input to recruitment mobilization and competency validation for process personnel.</li> <li>Advise and guide project teams on all piping and layout engineering matters throughout all stages of projects that are from concept, FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and startup phases.</li> <li>Plan and coordinate the activities of piping and layout engineers to ensure timely and effective delivery of technical services of technical services to project execution and operational support teams.</li> <li>Support discipline head in managing discipline standards and technical assurance, including implementation of standardization initiatives and compliance oversight across projects.</li> <li>Approve and endorse technical deviations, waivers and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices within the limits of delegated engineering authority.</li> </ul><br><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering.</li> <li>8 years of experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the oil &amp; gas industry, including 1 year in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor sub-contractors/service/vendor personnel.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of 3D Modelling software (PDS/SP3D).</li> <li>Senior Piping and Layout Engineering supervisory level with a broad knowledge of NGL Design and Engineering execution on projects including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.</li> <li>FEED and EPC have detailed design experience with large utilities systems in Inlet facilities.</li> <li>Skill / knowledge in application of International his area of expertise</li> <li>Excellent written and spoken English.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills.</li> <li>Good analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Good communication skills.</li> <li>Advanced computer literacy involves the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience of the Document Control function and Information Management Processes.</li> </ul><br><ul> <li><strong>Salary:</strong><ul> <li>Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance</li> </ul></li> <li><strong>Work Schedule:</strong><ul> <li>10 Hours / 6 Days</li> </ul></li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Duration:</strong> <ul> <li>36 Months, with possible extension</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Location:</strong> <ul> <li>Qatar</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </div>

L2 Support Engineer – SCATS & Tolling Systems Location: Doha, Qatar Job Type: Full-time | On-site | 24/7 Rotational Shifts Function: ITS Operations & Maintenance / Roads Management Centre Experience: 5–8 years L2 Support Engineer – SCATS & Tolling Systems Command Post is seeking experienced L2 Support Engineers to support a mission-critical Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) environment in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will provide operational and technical support across SCATS and Tolling back-office systems, helping maintain the availability, performance and integrity of critical applications, infrastructure and transaction flows. The position is primarily based within a Roads Management Centre / Control Room environment and operates on a 24/7 rotational shift basis. Key Responsibilities Provide L2 operational and technical support for SCATS and Tolling back-office applications, databases and supporting infrastructure. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Proactively monitor system health, live signal performance, faults and transaction processing. Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, controller and detector-related incidents. Diagnose and resolve L2 incidents and escalate complex issues to L3 support, OEMs or specialist teams when required. Monitor and validate system backup processes and ensure recovery procedures are followed. Maintain configuration records and support controlled release, patch and change management. Ensure integrity of end-to-end tolling transaction flows from Roadside Equipment (RSE) through back-office processing and Customer Service Centre visibility. Conduct formal shift handovers covering system status, open incidents, pending activities, system health and outstanding issues. Record incidents, service requests and maintenance activities within enterprise service-management platforms including IBM Maximo / EAMS and CRMS. Produce accurate reporting covering system availability, SLA performance, incidents, faults and KPI compliance. Work closely with application vendors, infrastructure teams and specialist support functions. Required Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.5–8 years of relevant L1/L2 IT or OT operations support experience, preferably within:Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Traffic management systems Tolling systems Mission-critical 24/7 operational environments Strong hands-on experience supporting VMware environments, including technologies such as:VMware v Spherev Center ESXiv SANHCI / VxRail Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications, databases, integrations and infrastructure. Working knowledge of enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and CRM systems. Experience supporting OT environments and/or roadside equipment is highly desirable. Experience supporting complex systems through handover, transition and steady-state operations. Good understanding of ITIL, incident management, change management and SLA-driven service operations. Key Skills We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, high-availability environment. Strong documentation and shift-handover discipline. Good understanding of application and infrastructure support. Excellent written and spoken English. Arabic language skills are advantageous. Strong commitment to operational quality, security, confidentiality and safety standards. Working Environment This is an on-site operational position in Doha supporting a business-critical environment. Candidates must be willing and able to work 24/7 rotational shifts, including nights, weekends and Qatar public holidays. The role will also require compliance with applicable security clearance, access-control and occupational health and safety requirements.
