This role requires strong hands-on skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Requirements<ul><li>Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements </li><li>Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other conventional machine tools </li><li>Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters based on material type and job requirements </li><li>Measure, inspect, and verify finished parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges) to ensure conformance to tolerances </li><li>Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal working condition </li><li>Fabricate, repair, or modify parts and tools as required </li><li>Maintain accurate production records, including job cards, time logs, and material usage </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace </li><li>Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control staff to resolve production issues </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency </li></ul>Required Skills & Qualifications: <ul><li>Diploma/ITI certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Machining Technology, or related trade </li><li>Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a manual machinist (industry-dependent) </li><li>Proficiency in operating manual lathes, milling machines, and grinding equipment </li><li>Strong knowledge of metals, materials, and their machining properties </li><li>Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools </li><li>Good mathematical skills (geometry, trigonometry) for calculations </li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to quality </li><li>Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks </li></ul> </div>
