Manage and ensure rig is in compliance with applicable rules, codes, regulations, and industry best practices considering the safety of personnel, environment & equipment.</p>

<p> <strong>Rig Move & Related activities:</strong> </p>

<li>Supervises and arranges for the preparation of Rig Move, stability calculations for jacking, floating, and preloading, ensuring compliance with Rig Move preparation checklists.</li>
<li>Observation of weather forecast for rig move window including preload hours.</li>
<li>Review of Soil condition reports for location for anticipation of expected penetration. </li>
<li>Ensure the jacking system & motors have planned maintenance completed up to date and are ready for operation. </li>
<li>The drilling package and cantilever are secured per the rig s operation manual. </li>
<li>Cranes and loose items are secured in accordance with the best seamanship practices while securing watertight doors/hatches during the rig move.</li>
<li>Towing is available, maintained up to date equipment is ready and certified as required. Spare equipment should be considered and highlighted if not available. </li>
<li>Mooring winches are maintained up to date and ready for operation. </li>
<li>Arrange and participate in rig move meetings. </li>
<li>Maintains records of associated documents/files and moves history to ensure that full and accurate records are kept.</li>
<li>Watertight integrity checks.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Stability:</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Assures daily accurate rig loading, leg reactions, supplies of fuel/water and centers of gravity are kept within the design limits for the safe operation of the unit.</li>
<li>Calculate the daily load criteria to ensure the installation satisfies the operation and stability requirements.</li>
<li>During loading ensures that deck loading is within the loading criteria in accordance with rig design and operation manual.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Lifting Operations:</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Supervises and directs loading/unloading and movement of all cargo including supervising & planning for crane critical, complex lifting operations and personnel transfer, onboard and outboard the unit.</li>
<li>Direct deck crew to move/load/unload critical items considering the unit load distribution calculations to ensure security of the lifted items & personnel.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Drilling / Work-over Operations:</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Liaise and co-operate with the drilling crew to ensure safe and smooth running of operations. Assign crew members to work in drilling operations as required.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Management of Major Emergencies:</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>To be part of the Rig s Emergency Response Team as detailed in the Emergency Plan and in Company Procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure that all personnel are instructed in the applicable procedures in the case of an emergency.</li>
<li>Ensure that Well Control and general safety drills are held and recorded in accordance with Company and Regulatory requirements.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Inspections & Certifications:</strong> </p>

<li>Prepares and participates in various inspection and survey activities in accordance with Class and statutory requirements and any other local/country/authority or regulatory body surveys.</li>

<p> <strong>Materials & Equipment:</strong> </p>

<li>Monitors all preventive maintenance activity for marine, helideck, navigation, firefighting, lifesaving equipment onboard the unit and ensure the timely execution of such maintenance and ensure that all lifting equipment are certified and kept in good working condition.</li>
<li>Liaises with the OIM and Maintenance Department to ensure incorporation of maintenance/repairs, Class, and other audits outstanding recommendations works.</li>
<li>Prepares hull and tank painting annual plans and reviews completion quarterly.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Helicopter Operations:</strong> </p>

<li>Ensures that the Helicopter operations are occurred safely & according to the aviation authorities, standards & regulations and maintain valid certification for the helideck.</li>

<p> <strong>Housekeeping:</strong> </p>

<li>Ensure that the work areas are clean and orderly prepared, free of hazards prior to & upon completion of the work, task, or repairs by the deck crew.</li>
<li>Direct the dispose of the debris as per the company hazardous material segregations policy / waste management policy taking into consideration the environmental & safety impacts.</li>

<p>Carries out external visual examinations complemented with NDT examination as required on Company equipment such as vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, pressure safety devices, piping, lifting equipment according to Company established policies and procedures and issues inspection reports. Performs preliminary integrity assessment of static equipment and piping according to Company established policies and procedures, interprets findings and issues inspection reports using Meridium or similar software. Inspects maintenance and capital project works being carried out in the field, to ensure that established maintenance practices and procedures are followed for welding, painting, fabrication and installation as per policy and in compliance with relevant applicable international codes and standard. Carries out or supervises NDT tests on mechanical equipment and piping according to the instructions from Supervisor or Corrosion Engineer. Tests include dye penetrant examination, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, hardness tests, eddy current, IRIS, thermography, PMI, Metallography, boroscopy and use of special equipment to determine DFT of paint and ferrometer for stainless steel welding tests and other tests and inspections as required. Follows all required safety procedures while carrying out the work. Initiates inspection recommendation using Meridium and/or via appropriate notification and tracks progress to completion to ensure mitigation of potential risks. Maintains company inspection instruments, tools, and equipment in good and operational condition. Coordinates for planning and procuring of additional instruments as required. Undertakes additional specific inspection related duties as directed by Inspection Engineer/Senior Inspection Engineer to fulfil annual targets and special tasks.
