<p>Core Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Equipment Operation: Drive the 10-ton vibratory roller in steady, overlapping passes over the ground or asphalt to achieve the required density and smoothness.</li><li>Vibration Control: Adjust the drum's frequency and amplitude settings based on the material type (soil, rock, or asphalt) and layer thickness.</li><li>Pre-Operation Checks: Inspect fluid levels, brakes, tires/drums, and safety systems daily before starting the machine.</li><li>Routine Maintenance: Perform basic upkeep, such as greasing joints, cleaning the drum, and checking water spray systems.</li><li>Site Safety: Follow strict safety rules, watch for ground workers and underground utilities, and park in designated secure zones.</li><li>Team Communication: Work alongside site foremen, grade setters, and other heavy equipment operators to meet project density goals.</li></ul><p>Requirements and Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience: 1 to 3+ years operating heavy compaction machinery on earthworks or road projects.</li><li>Licensing: Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification as required by local transport and labor laws.</li><li>Physical Fitness: Ability to climb ladders to access the cab and sit or work outdoors in varying weather conditions.</li><li>Technical Knowledge: Understanding of soil compressibility, material moisture, and roller speed adjustments</li></ul>
