<p>WE ARE HIRING: PROJECT DIRECTOR – MAJOR WASTEWATER EPC PROGRAMME</p><p>Mobilization: Immediate / earliest availability</p><p>CME Wakra Water W.L.L. is seeking an accomplished Project Director to assume executive responsibility for the integrated delivery of the Al Wakra and Al Wukair Sewage Treatment Plant and OCF-2 Works.</p><p>This is a critical leadership appointment for a complex, multidisciplinary EPC programme involving engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover across two project sites.</p><p>The successful candidate will lead project delivery across:</p><ul><li><p>HSE, environmental compliance and workforce welfare</p></li><li><p>Engineering, design integration and technical assurance</p></li><li><p>Procurement and expediting of critical long-lead equipment</p></li><li><p>Civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control works</p></li><li><p>Primavera P6 programme management and schedule recovery</p></li><li><p>Testing, commissioning, performance testing and handover</p></li><li><p>Cost control, cash flow and forecast-at-completion</p></li><li><p>Contract administration, variations, EOT and claims management</p></li><li><p>Subcontractor, vendor and supply-chain performance</p></li><li><p>Employer, Engineer and Qatar authority interfaces</p></li><li><p>Recruitment, mobilisation and leadership of a multicultural project team</p></li></ul><p>MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS</p><p>Candidates should demonstrate:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical/Process, Electrical or Environmental Engineering</p></li><li><p>Minimum 20 years of progressive engineering and construction experience</p></li><li><p>At least 12 years in major contractor-side EPC delivery</p></li><li><p>At least five years as Project Director, Project Executive or equivalent single-point project leader</p></li><li><p>Successful delivery of at least one major wastewater, water infrastructure or comparable process-plant EPC project through commissioning and handover</p></li><li><p>Leadership experience on a complex EPC project or programme valued at USD 300 million or more</p></li><li><p>Minimum five years of GCC experience, preferably including at least two years in Qatar</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of FIDIC-style EPC contracts, variations, EOT, claims, payment certification and dispute avoidance</p></li><li><p>Executive-level understanding of Primavera P6, critical-path analysis, schedule recovery, resource planning, cost forecasting and risk management</p></li><li><p>Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic would be a strong advantage</p></li><li><p>Ability to work full-time in Qatar and maintain a visible presence at both project sites</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><br><ul><li><p>Chartered Engineer, CEng, P.Eng., PE or equivalent professional registration</p></li><li><p>Current Qatar Ministry of Municipality engineering registration</p></li><li><p>NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent HSE leadership qualification</p></li><li><p>Formal training in FIDIC contracts, claims, negotiation or dispute avoidance</p></li></ul><p>We are looking for a decisive, commercially aware and technically credible leader who can build a high-performing team, protect the critical path, manage complex stakeholder interfaces and deliver safely without compromising quality, operability or contractual entitlement.</p>
