<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><br>Location: Etqan Global Academy (EGA), Doha, Qatar<br>Etqan Global Academy is looking to recruit a DP Mathematics Teacher (Applications &amp; Interpretation) to join our team in Doha, Qatar.<br>Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a values-driven IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and IB Career-related Programme (IBCP). We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced DP Mathematics Teacher to inspire our students to see Mathematics as a powerful tool for understanding and solving real-world problems, delivering IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation at SL and/or HL.<br>The role:<br>We seek an individual to join as DP Mathematics Teacher (Applications &amp; Interpretation) where your focus will be:<br>• Planning and delivering outstanding DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation lessons at SL and/or HL, aligned with IB curriculum requirements and examination expectations<br>• Developing students' mathematical thinking, modelling skills, statistical literacy, and effective use of technology including GDC and mathematical software<br>• Managing the Internal Assessment (Mathematical Exploration) process, providing structured guidance, support, and feedback to students<br>• Preparing students effectively for IB external examinations through rigorous, data-informed teaching<br>• Differentiating effectively to meet the needs of all learners including students with additional needs or EAL<br>• Teaching MYP Mathematics where timetabled, maintaining high standards and inquiry-based approaches<br>• Contributing to the Mathematics department and the wider life of EGA<br>The Successful Candidate will possess:<br>• A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline<br>• Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, ideally Applications and Interpretation (AI)<br>• Knowledge of IB DP assessment, Internal Assessment processes, and examination preparation<br>• The ability to use GDC, mathematical software, and technology effectively to support learning<br>• Excellent classroom management, communication, and differentiation skills<br>• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing<br>• IB DP Mathematics workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable<br>• Ability to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar<br><br></div></section>

Qualifications Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. Demonstrated experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for high school levels. Status as a Qualified Teacher with appropriate teaching certification or licensure. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field. Proven classroom teaching experience at secondary or high school level, preferably in international or multicultural settings. Ability to use a variety of teaching methods and educational technologies to support diverse learning needs. Effective classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar and comply with local employment and visa requirements.
