The Reservations Supervisor must be able to multitask effectively, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.<br><br>As Reservations Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:<br><br>Answer hotel’s main telephone, Hello MO, and emails from external and internal stakeholders. Ensure to apply required departmental standards in LQE and Forbes. All interactions are to be warm and sincere, taking ownership of the requests received, by personally addressing the matter. Answer questions about property facilities and services. Should the guest require more specific assistance, direct the call to the respective department or guest when applicable. Attend to all inquiries, complaints and requests received. Ensure all interactions are handled in the time frame set by the company. Ensure company standards for interactions with stakeholders are adhered to. Send proposals, pro forma invoices, and confirmations to third parties, e.g., Travel Agencies following the same company standards. Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. Process and confirm guest reservations made by clients for Rooms, F&B and Spa. Input all reservations into the respective systems, recording all relevant information. For room requests, verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, specific rate, and cancellation policies. Ensure special requests and guest preferences are documented within the reservation. Maintain complete knowledge of:All hotel features, services, and hours of operations. All hotel outlets concepts, dress code and ambiance. All hotel room types, number, names, amenities, and locations. All spa treatments. Awareness of group bookings, and events happening in the hotel at any given point. Have knowledge of ongoing promotions to upsell rooms, outlets and spa treatments to increase guest revenue within the hotel. Monitor telephones system problems and alert relevant departments to correct said problems in an expedited manner to prevent guest dissatisfaction. Communicate with ERT as necessary in the event of an emergency. Ensure all requests are handled in the time frame set by the company Ensure that audited results meet the standards required in LQA, LQE and Forbes.<br><br>As Reservations Services Supervisor, We Expect From You<br><br>Ensure an excellent working relationship with all colleagues within the hotel. Overview<br><br>University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is the first national applied University in the State of Qatar, offering applied bachelor’s and master’s degrees in different fields. UDST has over 50 programs in the fields of Computing and Information Technology, Engineering Technology and Industrial Trades, Business Management, Health Sciences, and more.<br><br>Thanks to a generous grant from the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA, https://ncsa.gov.qa/en/) in the State of Qatar, the College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) invites applications for the position of NCSA Professorship Chair at the rank of Full Professor in Data and Cyber Security. This 10-month renewable full-time position will entail teaching (1 course per semester), applied research (with focus on critical infrastructure security), and service.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br> Your Commitment <br><br>Reporting to the Head of Data and Cyber-Security Department, the successful candidate will collaborate with the faculty in the CCIT and staff members in the NCSA to achieve their respective missions. She/He will liaise with NCSA and key industry stakeholders in the State of Qatar to advance critical infrastructure security posture by working on research projects, developing strategic initiatives, and conducting workshops relevant to the field. The current data and cyber-security degree program in the CCIT encompasses a broad range of courses from applied cryptography to industrial control systems security, through network security, ethical hacking, security monitoring, and incident response. The degree program is also complemented with a master program in artificial intelligence and cognitive cybersecurity.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br> Education and Experience Requirements Education <br><br>PhD in Cyber-Security or closely related field from an internationally recognized university.<br><br>Experience<br><br> A minimum of 10 years teaching and research experience in a higher-education institution, along with preferably 5 years of employment experience as a practitioner/professional within the field of critical infrastructure security. A distinguished research record and international reputation evidenced by high quality publications in top tier journals. Commitment to applied and experiential learning as a pedagogy and a key feature of UDST’s mandate.
