Carries out or supervises NDT tests on mechanical equipment and piping according to the instructions from Supervisor or Corrosion Engineer. Tests include dye penetrant examination, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, hardness tests, eddy current, IRIS, thermography, PMI, Metallography, boroscopy and use of special equipment to determine DFT of paint and ferrometer for stainless steel welding tests and other tests and inspections as required. Follows all required safety procedures while carrying out the work. Initiates inspection recommendation using Meridium and/or via appropriate notification and tracks progress to completion to ensure mitigation of potential risks. Maintains company inspection instruments, tools, and equipment in good and operational condition. Coordinates for planning and procuring of additional instruments as required. Undertakes additional specific inspection related duties as directed by Inspection Engineer/Senior Inspection Engineer to fulfil annual targets and special tasks. Ensures proper maintenance of inspection reports and records. Maintains various records in the computerized systems, updating inspection test results and other data as required. Implements inspection recommendation by notifications raised through SAP and then tracking the progress until completion of work.
