Maintain a clean, safe, stocked and well-organized work area. Maintain spa appearance and cleanliness. Ability to work without direct supervision. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>What do we expect from you? Under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper or any other authorized by the management, to be responsible for assigning and supervising the activities of the room attendants, house porters and linen porters to ensure clean, orderly, attractive and well maintained guest rooms, corridors, fire exits, stairways and service areas on assigned floors/areas. Responsible for ensuring that all staff and guest issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner. To act in the hotel s interest and as your direct manager s representative in their absence.</p><p>How your day looks like:</p><ul><li>Supervise the allocation of work assignments to Room Attendants and Porters to ensure maximum coverage.</li><li>Assign special duties to Room Attendants and House Porters on assigned floors.</li><li>Check the computer system throughout the day for an update of room status.</li><li>Check and return an allocated number of guest rooms to the standard required by the hotel</li><li>Report to the Housekeeping office any rooms which do not require service, are Do Not Disturb or are double locked by the afternoon and to log these on the hand over.</li><li>Report and log any maintenance defects found in the rooms and assigned areas.</li><li>Liaise with Maintenance and Reception regarding all out of order rooms.</li><li>Ensure soft furnishings and d cor of rooms are maintained to standard.</li><li>Oversee implementation of deep cleaning and replacement.</li><li>Check on a daily basis the arrivals, departures and VIP lists.</li><li>Check VIP rooms to ensure they are cleaned and maintained to the required standard.</li><li>Ensure VIP gifts are replenished.</li><li>Control and supervise the issue and recording of keys and bleeps to all departmental staff on a daily basis.</li><li>Check that adequate linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies are held in each floor linen and supplies cupboards.</li><li>Liaise with the linen room and valet as required.</li><li>Ensure all public area and back of house areas are clean.</li><li>Assist in stock taking of Housekeeping items when necessary.</li><li>Assist in monitoring and controlling housekeeping procedures, including lost property, key and pager control, security and emergency procedures, Health and Safety for employees and guests to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales maximization and profitability.</li><li>Participate in conducting weekly inspections of all areas to ensure physical facilities are kept in optimal condition by full implementation of preventative maintenance programs and judicious planning and management of FF&E.</li><li>Create and implement green policies and procedures to reduce waste and energy consumption.</li><li>Report immediately any valuable lost property to security and to log packages and all other lost property.</li><li>Handle guest requests, queries and complaints with immediate action and thorough follow up and refer when necessary.</li><li>Assist fellow employees to perform similar or related jobs as and when necessary.</li><li>Carry out any projects and assignments as directed by the Executive Housekeeper</li><li>Preparation and completion of timesheets, rotas, holiday schedules, in line with business needs, as and when required</li><li>Preparation and completion of Purchase Orders (Fourth Hospitality) as and when required</li><li>Undertake and complete any special projects, tasks or other reasonable request by your department head and/or Hotel Management.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Flexibility and a positive, Yes I Can! In this role, you will lead traffic engineering, temporary traffic management and road safety activities on a major roads, infrastructure and drainage programme. The works include new and upgraded roads, utilities, earthworks, deep drainage networks, microtunnelling, pump stations and associated interfaces requiring carefully planned traffic diversions and stakeholder coordination.</p><h3>What You'll Be Doing:</h3><ul><li>Lead the consultant-side traffic engineering, temporary traffic management and road safety function across both work packages.</li><li>Review and approve Traffic Diversion Plan designs prepared by the Contractor s traffic management team in accordance with the contract and Authority requirements.</li><li>Review traffic management proposals, drawings, method statements, risk assessments, phasing plans and permit submissions for roadworks, utility works, microtunnelling, deep excavations and other construction activities.</li><li>Inspect Traffic Diversion Plans before opening them to traffic and carry out regular inspections to verify that the Contractor maintains safe and compliant traffic arrangements.</li><li>Keep accurate inspection, approval and monitoring records for temporary traffic arrangements and associated corrective actions.</li><li>Advise the Contractor s traffic management team on project-specific traffic-control requirements, techniques, sequencing and interfaces.</li><li>Liaise with the client s traffic diversion specialists, the Traffic Diversion Plan office, Ministry of Interior engineers, the local roads authority, police and other interested parties on traffic management matters.</li><li>Participate in Road Safety Audits and monitor the timely close-out of identified mitigation measures.</li><li>Review proposed traffic diversions and temporary access arrangements to minimise disruption and maintain safe access for road users, residents, businesses, emergency services and adjacent projects.</li><li>Coordinate temporary traffic management requirements with the construction, roads, utilities, drainage, structures, stakeholder, health and safety and environmental teams.</li><li>Monitor the Contractor s inspections and maintenance of traffic-management systems, signs, barriers, lighting and other roadwork traffic-control measures.</li><li>Review traffic-related changes arising from construction staging or site constraints and provide timely recommendations to the Resident Engineer and wider supervision team.</li><li>Support the review of road opening applications, temporary traffic diversion permits and related submissions required for construction activities.</li><li>Coordinate traffic requirements associated with permanent road signs, road markings, traffic signals, speed-camera interfaces and other traffic-control assets where applicable.</li><li>Provide traffic-engineering input to progress reports, risk registers, non-conformance management, handover activities and as-built documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Engineering or an equivalent relevant engineering discipline.</li><li>More than 14 years of post-graduate professional experience, including at least 7 years of experience in a similar traffic engineering or temporary traffic management role.</li><li>Professional experience in the Middle East is required.</li><li>Substantial experience working for an engineering consultant or Engineer s Representative on the construction supervision of major roads, infrastructure and drainage projects.</li><li>Demonstrable experience reviewing and approving Traffic Diversion Plans, temporary traffic management designs, construction phasing proposals and roadwork traffic-control arrangements.</li><li>Experience inspecting temporary traffic arrangements before opening to traffic and monitoring their ongoing safety and compliance during construction.</li><li>Experience coordinating with road authorities, traffic departments, police, contractors, designers and other stakeholders on traffic management approvals and operational issues.</li><li>Practical experience participating in Road Safety Audits and tracking the close-out of mitigation measures.</li><li>Experience managing traffic interfaces associated with roads, utilities, drainage, microtunnelling, deep excavations and concurrent construction work fronts.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of applicable Qatar traffic management, road safety and construction standards and requirements.</li><li>Ability to manage and coordinate a specialised traffic engineering function and independently perform complex professional assignments requiring the application of specialist principles.</li><li>Professional registration or chartered status is preferred.</li><li>MME engineering certification is required for personnel deployed under the contract.
