About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director, Logistics to lead the development, growth, and strategic positioning of the logistics sector within a dynamic and fast-evolving business environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping logistics sector strategies, driving investment attraction, developing partnerships, supporting ecosystem growth, and enhancing competitiveness across supply chain, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and trade facilitation activities.<br>Key Responsibilities Logistics Strategy & Sector Development Lead the development and execution of logistics sector strategies and growth plans. Identify opportunities to strengthen logistics, supply chain, warehousing, freight forwarding, and transportation ecosystems. Develop initiatives that improve sector competitiveness and operational efficiency. Monitor global logistics trends, trade patterns, and supply chain innovations.<br>Business Development & Investment Attraction Develop value propositions to attract logistics operators, distributors, e-commerce providers, manufacturers, and supply chain companies. Engage with local and international investors to promote logistics opportunities. Support business development initiatives aimed at expanding logistics-related investments. Build and maintain relationships with strategic logistics and supply chain stakeholders. Industry & Market Analysis Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to identify growth opportunities. Assess emerging trends in logistics, automation, digital supply chains, smart warehouses, and sustainability. Develop business cases and strategic recommendations to support sector expansion. Stakeholder & Partnership Management Build strong relationships with logistics service providers, shipping companies, airlines, manufacturers, regulators, and government entities. Collaborate with industry associations and ecosystem partners to support sector development. Represent the organization at logistics, trade, and supply chain events and conferences. Infrastructure & Ecosystem Growth Support the planning and optimization of logistics infrastructure and related services. Identify infrastructure, technology, policy, and operational requirements needed to support sustainable growth. Contribute to initiatives that improve trade facilitation and supply chain efficiency. Leadership & Governance Lead cross-functional projects and sector development initiatives. Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure sector growth and economic impact. Prepare executive reports, business cases, and presentations for senior stakeholders.<br>Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, International Trade, or a related field. Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. Minimum 12 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, trade facilitation, economic development, or related sectors. Demonstrated experience developing logistics strategies, business development initiatives, or large-scale logistics operations. Strong understanding of global supply chains, trade flows, warehousing, distribution, and transportation sectors. Experience managing senior stakeholder and investor relationships.<br>Preferred Experience Logistics parks, free zones, ports, airports, shipping, transportation, or supply chain organizations. Investment promotion, economic development, or commercial development environments. Large-scale logistics infrastructure projects. E-commerce, fulfillment, and last-mile logistics operations.
