The successful candidate will be a Graduate Mechanical Engineer holding MMUP Grade A and QCDD certification (Preferred), with a strong track record of pricing and winning major bids. <strong>Primary Purpose of the Job</strong><br><ul><li>Carries out unsupervised, the skilled installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, repair and testing of rotating and static mechanical equipment on Production Platforms.</li><li>Provides work directions to lower level technicians and contractors and provides on the job training to Nationals.</li><li>Responsible to execute mechanical maintenance implementation programs that match the department quality policy for the integrated oil & gas Production and Processing Facilities at Offshore • Directs and reports the technical matters to the Mechanical Engineer (Offshore).</li></ul> <br><strong>Required Experience and Skills</strong><br><p>At least 8 years in the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of wide range of rotating and static equipment within the Petrochemical or Petroleum offshore industry. Of this period, at least three years should have been with compressors, turbines, power generators and mechanical seals, etc,</p><br> <br><strong>Educational Qualifications</strong><br><p>Completion of secondary (12 years) education and followed by 2 years full time training on Mechanical Engineering (equivalent to City & Guilds).</p><br> </div>
<ol><li><p>Supervise and coordinate <strong>mechanical works</strong> at the project site.</p></li><li><p>Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate installation activities with site teams, subcontractors and other disciplines.</p></li><li><p>Monitor <strong>HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting works</strong>, where applicable to the project scope.</p></li><li><p>Ensure installations are carried out according to approved drawings and project requirements.</p></li><li><p>Conduct site inspections and monitor work quality and progress.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with consultants/client representatives for inspections and approvals.</p></li><li><p>Prepare progress reports, material requirements and related technical documentation.</p></li><li><p>Assist with testing, commissioning and handover activities.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with project HSE and quality requirements.</p></li></ol><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ol><li><p>Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in <strong>Mechanical Engineering</strong> or relevant qualification.</p></li><li><p><strong>Minimum 2–3 years Gulf experience in the same field – mandatory as per the received requirement.</strong></p></li><li><p>Relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer on construction/MEP projects.</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge of mechanical drawings and MEP coordination.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems is preferred.</p></li><li><p>AutoCAD/drawing-reading capability preferred.</p></li><li><p>Good communication and site coordination skills.</p></li><li><p>Must be available for <strong>ASAP mobilization</strong>.</p></li></ol>
