JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVEManage and ensure the successful execution of projects. Primary responsibility is to oversee and implement project management processes, including estimation, planning, scheduling, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting to effectively control project progress and resources.<br>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESProject Planning & Scheduling Collaborate with project managers, Project engineers and stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, including defining project goals, scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones. Support the planning engineers to develop project schedules. This involves breaking down project activities, sequencing them, and estimating their durations to establish a timeline for project execution. Evaluate and endorse the planning package documents submitted by contractors. Review and endorse the updated schedule submitted by contractors for progress verification. Support the planning engineer to monitor the critical path during project execution to ensure that necessary actions are taken at the right time to recover the project in case of delay. Control and monitor the resources required for the project, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure that the project is executed as per the schedule through all project phases. Conduct regular site visits to evaluate and control the project progress versus the original schedule and address any variances and problems and propose remedial actions.<br>Project Cost and Data Analysis Work closely with Projects estimators, project managers, project engineers and other stakeholders to support estimate project costs, including labour, materials, equipment, and other expenses. Responsible for developing and managing the projects budgets, tracking, and monitoring costs throughout the project's lifecycle. Responsible to keep the projects budget forecast updated throughout the project's lifecycle. Prepare the yearly & quarterly budget for projects. Responsible for developing and monitoring the department budget. Manage and control projects’ costs, including forecasting, and spend tracking and work closely with project engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that budgets are met as per the planned WBS and cost overruns are identified and addressed. Analyse project performance data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement and use this information to make recommendations to Project managers, project engineers and other stakeholders. Update the individual master cost control sheet for Major Projects and keep their financial data accurate through all project phases. Review of projects invoices and validate the progress. Analyse EOT (Extension of Time) claims and change order and assess their impact on schedule. Support Project managers, project engineers and other stakeholders to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Monitor the project for any unforeseen risks and propose corrective actions if necessary. Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required.<br>Project Controls & Analysis Monitor and control project progress by using various tools and techniques to collect and analyse data, identifying potential risks and deviations from the project plan. This involves providing regular project status updates, generating reports, and recommending corrective actions when necessary. Identify project resource requirements, such as personnel, equipment, and materials, and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure their availability by monitor resource utilization, optimize resource allocations, and manage any changes or conflicts. Implement monitoring systems and tools to track project progress against the project plan, schedule, and budget. This includes collecting data, analysing project performance, identifying deviations or risks, and recommending corrective actions to keep the project on track. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies by monitoring and assessing risk impacts on project objectives and work with stakeholders to implement risk response measures. Assess and manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget. This involves evaluating change requests, analysing their impact, and making recommendations for approval or alternative solutions. Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Identify lessons learned from projects and recommending improvements for future projects. Manage and control of IM/PS modules in SAP S4 Hana through all project phases and from creating the Investment Program until financial close out.<br>Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures Identify the opportunities for the continuous improvement of Projects systems, policies, processes, and practices. Develop and enhance any procedures and guidelines related to Project Controls whenever is requested<br>Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services. Reporting Ensure that all relevant reports are prepared timely and accurately, and meet the Department’s requirements, policies, and standards. Provide regular project status updates to project managers, projects engineer, stakeholders, and senior management through reports, dashboards, and presentation. Support internal and external audits by representing projects and providing necessary documentation evidence. Qatarization Contribute to the development of Qatari employees.
