They will perform Fracture reductions other emergency procedures in ED when required. As oncall doctors they will also assist in Emergency theatres for orthopaedic cases.<br>As for the Outpatient services, they will be expected to run the fracture clinics under supervision of Attending surgeon. There will also be opportunities to see patients in regular elective clinics under supervision. They will be regular elective theatre sessions.<br>For the inpatient services, they will function within the Department of Surgery to assist in the care of the Orthopedic patients. Care is delivered as part of an interprofessional team. The Specialist is responsible for assessment of patients as well as carrying out the care plans. Care is on the wards as well as in the intensive care areas such as PICU, NICU, and ER. There is a variable requirement for the incumbent to work in other areas such as the operating room and clinic.
