This includes managing the entire tendering process, continuously updating the technical specifications and requirements, enforcing contractual requirements, monitoring contractors performance and applying relevant contract provisions and Liquidated Damages where applicable. Tender strategies, and all other related documents related to “Tendering and Contracting” process of EPRS Division. Monitor contractor performance by following periodic progress reports. Liaise with all relevant parties to ensure full contractual compliance. Enforcing contractual clauses Liquidated Damages etc. to ensure that the contractors delivery is as defined in the Scope of work. Responsible for timely and quality execution and analysis of routine and ad-hoc reports of contractors performance, including KPIs related to monitored process. Proactive identification of process issues related to contractual compliance and anomalies, risks and bottlenecks, including their root cause analysis, resolution proposals, support in preparation of corresponding solutions and mitigation plans. Carrying out necessary review and analysis of contract documents, including data and information gathering and provision of expert’s comments and insights. Identification of improvement opportunities, to revise scope of work & technical specifications for future contracts to ensure optimization of resources. Position Summary<br><br>We are looking for an experienced Rig Superintendent Development Rigs to oversee and manage development drilling operations on land-based rigs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in development drilling, rig operations, crew management, well control, HSE, and drilling performance. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable rig operations while meeting drilling programs and operational targets.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Lead and oversee development drilling operations on assigned land rigs. Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling activities. Supervise Rig Managers, Toolpushers, Drillers, and other rig personnel. Coordinate daily rig operations and ensure compliance with approved drilling programs. Monitor drilling parameters, rig performance, equipment condition, and operational efficiency. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of top drives, drawworks, mud pumps, BOP systems, rotary systems, hoisting systems, and associated rig equipment. Coordinate with drilling engineers, company representatives, HSE teams, and oilfield service providers. Ensure effective implementation of well-control procedures and drilling best practices. Monitor drilling progress, downtime, equipment utilization, and overall rig performance. Identify and resolve operational, technical, and equipment-related issues. Ensure rig equipment is properly maintained, operational, and fit for purpose. Review daily drilling reports and ensure accurate operational documentation. Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, drilling standards, and applicable regulations. Conduct and support safety meetings, toolbox talks, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Monitor crew competency, training, certification, and adherence to operational procedures. Support rig mobilization, demobilization, maintenance, and equipment readiness activities. Work closely with management and drilling teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce non-productive time. <br><br>Requirements<br><br>Proven experience in development drilling operations and land-based drilling rigs. Strong experience in a senior drilling position such as Rig Superintendent, Rig Manager, Senior Toolpusher, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of land drilling rig systems and major drilling equipment. Hands-on knowledge of top drives, drawworks, mud pumps, BOP systems, rotary systems, and well-control equipment. Strong understanding of development drilling procedures and well-control practices. Proven experience supervising and managing rig crews. Strong knowledge of HSE requirements, risk management, and safe drilling practices. Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills. Ensure the required Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Category (CAT) protection level is maintained in terms of vehicles, equipment, firefighting agents, and personnel during shift hours, in compliance with QCAR 006 (as amended) and TRA instructions. Supervise and control staff leave to ensure minimum manpower availability required for compliance at both airports. Ensure availability and readiness of firefighting and breathing apparatus / rescue equipment. Ensure all Fire Department staff assigned to vehicles are certified and qualified to operate their designated vehicles. Ensure Airside Vehicle Operator Permits (AVOP) for all department personnel are valid and up to date. Ensure all employees are medically fit to perform their duties in compliance with QCAR 006 (as amended). Inform the Operations Manager of any deficiencies or shortcomings in section performance. Carry out any other tasks assigned by the competent authority (DFRD) or the Operations Manager.</p><p>Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies and practices, meeting and exceeding regulatory and legal requirements. Provide guidance and advice to staff regarding Health & Safety legislation and organizational policies. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><br></p><p>Primary Purpose of the Job Supervises the distribution of gas through pipelines, manifold and letdown stations, ensuring that these are working efficiently and that any faults are speedily rectified and that each consumer receives sufficient to all continuity of operation. Supervises the maintenance of Stations / pipelines / LBVs / SBVs and ensures faults are speedily attended to for minimum outage of pipelines and stations. The job holder assumes the full responsibility for the Gas distribution of his assigned area. Plans and supervises all aspects of Transmission and Distribution in his assigned area. Any wrong decision could result in normally shutdown of any one the consumers equivalent to QR.2 Million/ day or shutdown of Gas distribution, which could result in revenue losses and severe downstream effect to power stations supply. The effect is also felt in all downstream consumers like QAPCO/QAFCO/QAFAC/QPRefinery/QASCO/QEWC,QCHEM,QATARGAS,RASGAS AND QGEWC, Al Khaleej and Dolphin. Participates in developing and upgrading various production and export plans by liaising with upstream gas producers, related Onshore and Offshore functions and downstream consumers. Supervises and coordinates the distribution of gas through stations and associated pipelines & its distribution to local customers. Ensures that gas is distributed safely and efficiently and that maximum use is made of available resources. Develops and directs safe working practices in all areas and ensures all regulations are adhered to. The job also enhances the monitoring of the AOCC personnel performance on OPS data handling and hard resources allocation actions, with the scope to achieve a deeper insight on the improvement capabilities. Furthermore, the job plays a key role on the transformation of the AOCC reporting scheme.<br>Key responsibilities<br><br>Provide technical expertise to the information system team in major application deployment by assisting in designing process to arrive at high performance and optimal operational solutions. Develop consolidate operational dashboards, analyze and report of hard resources allocation related data and trends to the management team based on AOCC actions (real time vs planning, historic, etc.) Reduce manual operational jobs by ensuring automation of as many operational procedures for monitoring and supporting the day of operation responsibilities of AOCC. Develop supporting material and perform training to raise the data driven approach to decision making.
