<p>This role is responsible for providing legal counsel and practical support on corporate, commercial, banking and investment matters, ensuring the business operates in compliance with applicable laws and corporate governance requirements. It involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, procurement documents, financing agreements, and real estate transactions while managing legal risks. The position supports corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and financing activities through legal due diligence and documentation. The role oversees corporate secretarial matters, maintains global entity registrations and governance documentation, and advises on regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions. The role also develops compliance policies, delivers legal awareness training, manages external legal counsel, and provides guidance on employment law, data protection, and intellectual property matters. The Temporary Instruction Librarian serves as a primary liaison and instructional partner across assigned academic departments, designing and delivering responsive research and information literacy services that align with departmental curricula. This role will cultivate specialized library collections, advance scholarly communication, and develop collaborative outreach programs to enrich the academic and cultural life of the GU-Q community.<br>This is a full-time, temporary position with a duration of up to six months. As this position is based in Doha, Qatar and offers no relocation assistance, GU-Q is looking for locally based candidates only.
