We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a<br> Static Mechanical Engineer<br><br>The Static Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing high-level technical expertise, design validation, asset integrity management, and engineering support for all static (stationary) equipment and piping systems within the manufacturing facility. This role focuses on maximizing plant reliability, leading execution strategies during major turnarounds, ensuring structural<br>compliance with international design codes, and mitigating risk across high-pressure, corrosive process loops.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br>Engineering Design & Modification<br>Review and approve design calculations, data sheets, drawings, and technical specifications for modifications or new procurement of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and tanks.<br>Generate and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Piping Material Specifications (PMS), and Material Take-Offs (MTOs) to meet international standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, API). Develop and review plot plans, equipment layouts and 3D models. Route critical process, utility, and offsite pipelines.<br>Stress Analysis: Perform piping flexibility and stress analysis to ensure systems can withstand high pressures, extreme temperatures, and vibrations.<br> Execute plant modifications via the formal Management of Change (MOC) protocol, ensuring no compromise to process safety or plant design basis.<br>Prepare and approve technical deliverables for replacement projects, including scope of work, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and vendor drawing reviews.<br>Turnaround & Maintenance Support<br>Define the technical scope for critical static equipment during scheduled plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and outages.<br>Develop inspection and repair procedures for specialized high-pressure equipment, including shell-and-tube heat exchangers, reformer tubes, and atmospheric storage tanks.<br>Supervise critical repair activities on-site, ensuring field welding, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), and non-destructive testing (NDT) comply with structural codes.<br>Asset Integrity & Plant Reliability Support<br>Support Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations and remaining-life assessments for older or degraded stationary equipment<br>Support root cause analysis (RCA) on mechanical static equipment failures, structural leaks, and chronic piping vibrating issues to implement definitive corrective actions. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized, accredited university<br>Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in mechanical engineering within a heavy continuous-process chemical plant, petrochemical facility, or refinery environment.<br>Experience in the fertilizer industry (specifically Ammonia, Urea, or Nitrates manufacturing units) is strongly preferred.<br>Proven track record of managing massive capital equipment replacement projects and participating in large-scale plant turnarounds.<br>Language: Must possess excellent fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal) to draft technical engineering reports, lead meetings, and coordinate with international vendors<br>Technical Software & Industrial Codes<br>Software Competency: Advanced proficiency in PV Elite (pressure vessel design), CAESAR II (piping stress analysis) and Nozzle PRO.<br> Codes & Standards: Comprehensive working command of ASME Section VIII Div 1 & 2 (Pressure Vessels), ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), API 650/620 (Storage Tanks), and TEMA Standards (Heat Exchangers).<br>Core Competencies<br>Exceptional diagnostic, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities for complex process plant problems.<br>Clear leadership attributes with experience supervising external multi-disciplinary EPC contractors and vendor engineers.

You will work closely with Product, Operations, Analytics, Operations Efficiency, WFM, Dev Ops and engineering teams to deliver reliable data pipelines, scalable models, internal tools, and clear insights that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.<br><br>You are comfortable switching between engineering work (pipelines, data models, internal services, tooling, optimization) and analytics work (business questions, dashboards, deep‑dive analysis). Key Job Accountabilities - I Analyse and guide asset maintenance team of various support for rotating equipment maintenance activity and troubleshooting for LNG plant. Prepare for blocker after critical equipment trouble shooting. Plan and execute all planned and unplanned rotating equipment major jobs during the planned shutdown including gas & steam turbine and compressors. Ensure close relationship with asset/shutdown planning other team member of the department to ensure review materials reservation, schedule, and pre-shutdown activity including tools and spares verification. Ensure Quality control of all plan maintenance activity for Gas turbine and compressor mechanical jobs and refurbishment activity at OEM workshop. Quality verification of asset maintenance rotating equipment related jobs. Regular follow-up of all gas turbine mechanical activity and co-ordination with asset and GE CSA team. Review and prepare all documents like job cards, JSA, quality check list for gas turbine and compressor jobs. Review Availability of Spares of critical equipment and recommend and missing spares to materials team for stock creation and procurement. To identify the System obsolescence and raise EMOC for up gradation well in advance. Key Job Accountabilities - II Raise of EMOC for any upgrade based on failure, bad actor program, RCFA etc. Support for Management of Change feasibility study by providing system inputs. Participate in Root cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Risk Assessment, HAZOP study and provide necessary data for this Analysis. Provide facility for technical training and coaching of mechanical technicians and Qatari National Developees for rotating equipment. Lead for repair and refurbishment process for critical rotating equipment components like rotor, DGS, seal bearing etc. Coordinate with multi department team member for completing this process so that items will repair on time. Assist Lead Engineer for various initiatives like contract preparation, road map implementation, and innovation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge and/or Experience 4 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry. Experience on rotating equipment major overhauling and troubleshooting experience. Sound knowledge on Gas turbine, steam turbine, compressor, and pump auxiliary system. Conversant with standards and specifications of company, national and international bodies. Knowledge of SAP system. Technical and Business Skills Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills). Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.

Job Title: Development Engineer Level 2<br> Systems/ Avionics/Cabin<br> <strong>Job Description</strong><br> <strong>Job Purpose</strong><br> <strong>Ensure that all applicable continuing airworthiness requirements, with regard to the QCAA-approved CAMO, are reviewed and implemented.</strong><br> <strong>Review reliability alerts related to aircraft systems, components, or aircraft dispatch; analyse issues, identify solutions, and propose implementation plans to maintain optimum levels of reliability and cost.</strong><br> <strong>Assist Maintenance sections and other internal and external customers in resolving technical queries and repetitive defects. Initiate and process deviations to certified aircraft configuration or approved maintenance data.</strong><br> <strong>Accountabilities</strong><br> <strong>Operational</strong><ul><li><strong>Evaluate Airworthiness and other Service Documentation (AD/CN/SB/SIL/OIT/AOT/VSB/TFU/FTD) issued by airworthiness authorities, aircraft manufacturers, or vendors, and take necessary action in a timely manner.
