Project Director – Mega Projects<br>Job Summary The Project Director is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale, multi-billion-dollar construction projects. The role provides strategic direction to project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with contractual, quality, and client requirements.<br>The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience delivering mega-scale developments across sectors such as Mixed-Use Developments, High-Rise Towers, Hotels & Hospitality, Infrastructure, and Island Development projects. The Project Director will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key stakeholder relationships, and drive operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>Leadership & Project Delivery Provide overall leadership and direction for mega-scale construction projects from inception to completion. Develop and implement project execution strategies to achieve project objectives and client expectations. Lead multidisciplinary teams including construction, engineering, project controls, commercial, procurement, HSE, and QA/QC functions. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.<br>Commercial & Financial Management Oversee project budgets, cost control, cash flow management, and financial performance. Monitor project profitability and implement corrective actions to achieve commercial targets. Review and approve procurement strategies, subcontract awards, and major commercial agreements. Support claims management, contract administration, and dispute resolution processes.<br>Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, government authorities, and project stakeholders. Represent the organization at executive-level meetings and project reviews. Ensure effective communication and alignment among all project participants.<br>Risk & Compliance Identify and mitigate project risks related to schedule, cost, quality, safety, and contractual obligations. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, local regulations, and company standards. Champion HSE and quality initiatives across all project activities.<br>Planning & Performance Oversee project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities. Review project KPIs and implement improvement initiatives where required. Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.<br><br>Mandatory Requirements<br>Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 20+ years of construction industry experience. Minimum 10+ years in senior project leadership roles. Demonstrated experience delivering mega-scale, multi-billion-dollar projects. Proven track record managing projects from inception through handover. Strong understanding of project execution, commercial management, contracts, planning, procurement, and risk management.
