Instructors at Qatar Technical Institute (QTI) form the backbone of the training ecosystem and play a critical role in delivering high-quality vocational, technical and defence training in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) standards. The IT instructor works in the General Studies department, which forms the first year of a two-year diploma.<br><br>The primary role of the IT Instructor is to deliver the Information Technology curriculum to military students in accordance with all policies and processes at the QTI. The role involves teaching and supporting the creation, maintenance, and delivery of Information Technology subjects, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email Applications, and Microsoft Power Point, to specific standards within the General Studies department.<br><br>The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and implement engaging lessons based on MoEHE curriculum. They will create an inclusive learning environment that supports student success while maintaining academic rigor and adherence to institutional standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to student-centered learning, and the ability to inspire interest and achievement in the different subjects within Information Technology.<br><br>The role involves engaging in regular feedback meetings with Senior Instructors in support of continuous improvement of the instructor’s classes and the department as a whole. Taking ownership of their classes and leading by example, the instructor must demonstrate professionalism and flexibility. Operate professionally and respectfully within the military training environment.<br><br>Requirements<br><br>Qualification/Trade Knowledge:<br><br>Essential<br><br>Holds qualified teacher status or a relevant education and training qualification (e.g. PGCE, B. Ed., M. Ed., MA, BA, Diploma, or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Digital Skills Training, Education, or a related field. Relevant experience teaching Information Technology subjects to international students in a range of contexts. Knowledge and experience teaching Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email Applications, Microsoft Power Point, and other essential digital literacy or office productivity applications. Demonstrable soft skills across a multi-disciplinary department. Ability to use a range of teaching and administrative technologies. Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Arabic language In addition to the primary teaching specialism, Instructors may be required to support the delivery, development, assessment, verification, and administration of other subject areas, programmes, or training activities within the organisation as directed by the Customer, Line Manager, Head of Department, or Head of the Organisation. Such responsibilities will be allocated based on the Instructors/Lecturers qualifications, professional experience, industry background, demonstrated competence, and previous teaching or training experience.
