Position: Offshore Inspector (Operations Expansion Start-Up)<br><br>Location: Onshore, Qatar<br><br>Position Overview<br><br>We are seeking an experienced Offshore Inspector to support inspection, integrity, and quality assurance activities during the EPC, commissioning, start-up, and asset handover phases of major offshore projects.<br><br>The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of newly constructed facilities through proactive inspection programs, defect identification, integrity assessments, and application of industry-standard inspection techniques. This position requires extensive field presence, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a strong understanding of inspection and asset integrity management practices.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Inspection & Integrity Management<br><br>Conduct external visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) examinations on offshore equipment including:Pressure vessels Boilers Heat exchangers Pressure safety devices Process piping Lifting equipment Perform preliminary integrity assessments of static equipment and piping systems, evaluate inspection findings, and prepare detailed inspection reports. Utilize integrity management systems such as Meridium or equivalent software to document findings, generate recommendations, and monitor equipment condition.<br>Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)<br><br>Carry out or supervise a wide range of NDT techniques, including:Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) Radiographic Testing (RT) Eddy Current Testing IRIS Inspections Hardness Testing Positive Material Identification (PMI) Metallography Thermography Boroscopy Coating Thickness Measurements (DFT) Ensure all inspection activities are conducted safely and in accordance with approved procedures and industry standards.<br>Quality Assurance & Compliance<br><br>Inspect maintenance activities, shutdown works, and capital project execution to verify compliance with:Company inspection standards Approved procedures International codes and specifications Quality and safety requirements Monitor welding, fabrication, coating, installation, and repair activities to ensure workmanship and quality requirements are achieved.<br>Inspection Planning & Follow-Up<br><br>Raise inspection recommendations and notifications within integrity management systems and SAP. Track inspection findings to closure and verify corrective actions are effectively implemented. Support risk mitigation initiatives by identifying integrity threats and recommending appropriate measures.<br><br>Reporting & Documentation<br><br>Prepare accurate inspection reports and technical documentation. Maintain inspection records, databases, test results, and historical equipment data. Ensure all inspection findings and recommendations are properly documented and traceable.<br><br>Equipment & Contractor Management<br><br>Maintain inspection tools, instruments, and equipment in safe working condition. Support procurement planning for new inspection equipment as required. Coordinate and supervise contractor inspection personnel to ensure service quality and compliance with company requirements.<br><br>Additional Duties<br><br>Support special inspection programs, shutdown inspections, emergency response activities, and other integrity-related assignments as directed by Inspection Engineering leadership.<br><br>Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)<br><br>Ensure full compliance with all company HSE policies, procedures, and regulations. Follow all applicable quality standards and operational controls while performing inspection activities.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent qualification in Engineering Holds certification in API 510/570 or equivalent, API 653 as required. Minimum 4 years of in-service inspection experience within Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Refining, or Energy industries. Conversant with using Meridium or similar Data Management Software. Awareness in risk-based inspection, Corrosion/corrosion control and damage mechanisms. Basic awareness in relevant plant processes and materials. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to provide end-to-end functional and technical support for the bank’s omni-channel applications, including branch banking web applications, mobile banking, retail internet banking, and corporate internet banking platforms. The role will oversee GEC design and supervision contracts, supervision-only services, contract changes, addendums, claims, tender documentation, procurement reporting, and commercial procedures.<br> <br>The position requires strong knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes, with particular emphasis on PWA procedures, Qatar Government requirements, PWA Conditions of Contract, and QCS 2014.<br> <br>Key Responsibilities<br> Manage and administer contracts for Works Contractors, GECs providing design and supervision services, and supervision-only consultants across infrastructure projects. Prepare, review, process, and administer GEC Change Requests and Contract Variation/Addendum (CVA) submissions through financial approval and final issuance. Prepare detailed commercial and contractual substantiation for GEC CVAs, including submissions to relevant tender committees and subsequent audit and approval processes. Administer and monitor contractor and GEC claims, including reviewing supporting documentation, drafting contractual responses, and providing commercial advice and recommendations. Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date tender and contract documentation for Works Contractors and GECs. Maintain the tender and contract document database on PMDS, ensuring the latest PWA, statutory, authority, stakeholder, and Contracts Department revisions and supplements are incorporated. Research, prepare, and process Change Requests relating to GEC design and supervision and supervision-only services. Prepare and process Change Requests for specialist construction works for general application across infrastructure projects. Proven experience in claims administration, change management, contract variations, CVAs, tender documentation, and procurement processes. Demonstrated experience working on major infrastructure projects is mandatory. Strong experience in the administration of Works Contractor and GEC contracts. Experience with GEC design and supervision and supervision-only contracts is highly desirable. Proven experience in claims administration, change management, contract variations, CVAs, tender documentation, and procurement processes. Located on Al Udeid Airbase in Doha, the Qatar Technical Institute provides internationally recognized training programs to the all three services that make up the Qatar Armed Forces. The QTI training pipeline consists of Foundation Training, General Engineering and Specialty Type Training. Supporting Qatar vision 2030, this ensures QAF personnel are equipped with appropriate skills and knowledge for a career in the Armed Forces.<br><br>About The Role Holder<br><br>The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the coordination of the Project Management (inc. Continuous Improvement) activities in support of successful delivery of Training and Instructional output for the Qatar Armed Forces (QAF). The incumbent will be capable of overseeing the day-to-day activities within the Project Management team, managing all project control mechanisms and processes and working closely with with the Qatar Program Office (QPO) and Qatar Branch Office (QBO) to maintain a robust, manageable project management and control system. They would have a specialist knowledge of in one or more areas of Project Management & Control (e.g. cost, risk, opportunity, change control, scheduling, resourcing) and be expected to be able to adapt these practices in the context of QTI, as well as advising, guiding and instructing others in their application.
