Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role based at North Sedra Farm in Ash Shamal, Qatar. The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for farm animals, including routine health checks, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, vaccinations, and emergency care. Daily responsibilities include monitoring animal health, maintaining medical records, developing preventive care protocols, and advising on nutrition, housing, and biosecurity measures. The role involves collaborating with farm management and animal handlers to implement health and welfare standards, support breeding programs, and ensure compliance with local veterinary regulations. The Veterinarian will also contribute to staff training on proper animal handling and early detection of health issues, helping to maintain a safe and humane environment. Qualifications Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent veterinary degree) with eligibility to practice in Qatar or willingness to obtain required licensure. Experience in farm animal medicine (e.g., livestock, small ruminants, or other production animals), including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment. Knowledge of herd health management, vaccination schedules, biosecurity, and disease control within agricultural or farm settings. Ability to perform common veterinary procedures such as examinations, minor surgeries, wound care, reproductive health assessments, and emergency interventions. Strong record-keeping skills, including accurate documentation of medical histories, treatments, and regulatory compliance reports. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with farm owners, managers, and animal handlers of diverse backgrounds. Capacity to work on-site in a farm environment, including handling animals safely and performing duties that may require physical stamina. Commitment to animal welfare, ethical practice, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. Previous experience in Middle Eastern or similar regional agricultural contexts is an advantage but not required.
