The Maintenance Engineer leverages deep understanding of maintenance strategies in-order to contribute to day-to-day operational maintenance expertise and leadership and supports the Head of Maintenance in monitoring and implementing the strategies for managing the shipyards assets throughout their lifecycle. All works is executed to a high quality & auditable standard that is consistent with the companies integrated management systems and policies. As an officer, a high level of trade skill and experience is demanded and is expected to be demonstrably applied to technical problems and monitoring of trades employees.</p><br>
<br><br>Accountabilities <br><p><u><b>Key Accountabilities:</b></u><br>
1) Develop a deep understanding of the yard specific maintenance strategy and supports the Head of Maintenance in breaking down the strategy into short to medium time horizon work plans and tactics. Supports the implementation of all aspect of the Maintenance Strategy.<br>
2) Operate and maintain HVAC equipment, including but not limited to dehumidifiers, chillers, AHUs, pumps, fan coil units, Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) units, Air Cooled Condensing Unit (ACCU) units, window air-conditioning units, split air-conditioning units and ventilation systems and all its components.<br>
3) Operate and maintain Low Voltage (LV) Power & Lighting system, Elevator, sliding door, Dock leveler, Building Maintenance Unit (BMU), Electrical Low Voltage (ELV) systems consisting of Access Control System, Barrier gate, Intercom and all its components.<br>
4) Operate and maintain other building systems and Plumbing equipment’s consist of potable water booster pumps, circulation pumps, water heaters and all its components. <br>
5) Prepare and manage all spare parts required for the maintenance of the Equipment and related assets. <br>
6) Support the Head of Maintenance in the preparation of maintenance strategies to reduce failure rates of equipment and improve maintenance KPIs.<br>
7) Prepare RCA reports and provide Head of Maintenance with proposals for preventing repeat failures and ensuring lessons learned.<br>
8) Prepare Scope Of Work (SOW), Scope Of Service (SOS) and Tender documentation for sub-contractors works.<br>
9) Supervise sub-contractors and ensure compliance with scope of work.<br>
10) Lead and supervise maintenance technicians.<br>
11) Prepare fit for purpose Work Permits and Risk Assessment for the identification, control and/or mitigation of workplace risk.<br>
12) Maintain maintenance records.<br>
13) Coordinate with relevant authorities and obtain approvals for any changes to systems and structures.<br>
14) Communicate upwards – training needs, process improvement suggestions and follow up on implementation.<br>
15) Schedule and prioritize work considering all available resources.</p><br>

19) Take corrective action on errors as defined in the IMS, as necessary.<br>
20) Ensure that the SAP Module is maintained according to the schedule.<br>
21) Implement and monitor compliance to department budgets and raises any deviation requirement.<br>
22) Monitor approved sub-contractors.<br>
23) Demonstrate leadership at monthly section review meeting.<br>
24) Support execution of daily operations, making sure maintenance plans are met. <br>
25) Contribute with timely updates and inputs such as lead and lag indication data to inform stakeholders to support internal decision making and performance review processes. <br>
26) Model a collaborative and cross-organizational relationship within and between maintenance and operations and support functions to ensure alignment to desired high performance culture. <br>
27) Foster an engaging culture of safe and productive work through role modelling N-KOM’s values. Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environment standards.<br>
28) Ensure achievement of key performance indicators & address performance issues.<br>

The NER / FTTx Active Network Engineer/Technician is responsible for supporting day-to-day activities related to the operation, maintenance, and updating of FTTx active network infrastructure. The role involves fiber patching, card installation, network topology updates, inventory and GIS records management, and providing technical support for BAU activities to ensure service continuity and network integrity. Key Responsibilities Perform fiber patching and installation of GPON/XGPON cards and associated hardware. Update network topology records and maintain as-built documentation for OLT infrastructure. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory): - Conducts research and analysis of financial and budget matters relating to Finance policies and objectives, and makes recommendations to senior staff. - Maintain all license and contracts with vendors and ensure compliance of GIS to this requirement. - Prepare Weekly, Monthly and yearly budget reports for management review. - Process all the vendor invoices in a timely manner. - Coordinate with Tender committee and GFCD for verifying of the budget information. Learning & Knowledge: - Remain current on the best practices of budget and financial management. - Constantly try and improve GIS contractual and service level agreement terms and conditions to best suit the business requirements - Constantly try to develop newer techniques to manage vendors. - Build newer channels internally to validate services delivered by vendor are up to the expectation of GIS and other business units. Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities: - Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy). - Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks. - Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy. - Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements. - Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role. - Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank, attain, and maintain the required levels of competence. - Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank Other: - Possess good knowledge and experience in Finance and Budgeting. - Maintain a good knowledge to perform capacity modeling and trend analysis to predict the demand for GIS Services and predict the effects of demand on performance service levels. - High level understanding of IT systems and relative performance. - Good understanding of suitable solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of capacity management process. - Maintain an understanding of all pertinent regulations as well as best practices pertaining to financial and budget planning. - Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information. - Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need to know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators. - Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position. - All other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time. - Act as the primarily liaison between GIS and vendors to track invoicing against services and products delivered.<br><br>Education And Experience Requirements<br><br> Bachelor’s degree preferably with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field of study). At least 4 years of Experience in Budget Management including at least 2 years of experience in IT and IS Related areas - ITIL foundation certificate is a must and ITIL practioner or ITIL Expert is a plus.
