Instructors at Qatar Technical Institute (QTI) form the backbone of the training ecosystem and play a critical role in delivering high-quality vocational, technical and defence training in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) standards. The English Language instructor works in the General Studies department, which forms the first year of a two-year diploma.<br><br>The primary role of the English Language Instructor is to deliver the English Language curriculum to military students in accordance with all policies and processes at the QTI. <p>Reporting to the Department Head, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of courses in Occupational Health Safety and Environment within the College of Health Sciences. S/he will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. The successful candidate will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area. Faculty members will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. <p>Education PhD degree in Occupational Health Safety and Environment from a recognized, accredited post-secondary institution is required. Those whose PhD is not in Occupational Health Safety and Environment must hold a master s or bachelor s degree in occupational health and safety. Professional licensure and current registration with a recognized Occupational Health and Safety registry/body, e.g., IOSH, CRSP, CSP and NEBOSH tutor experience is preferred. A certificate, diploma or degree in Education (Secondary/Post-Secondary), and teaching experience, preferably at a post-secondary level is preferred.</p>
<p>Experience Five years of relevant employment experience and professional licensure and current registration with a recognized Occupational Health and Safety registry/body is required. Demonstrated ability to use diverse and current teaching approaches in the classroom and for practice experiences including the laboratory, simulation, and practicums. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of educational technology and platforms. Demonstrated academic and information literacy skills. Expertise in curriculum development is desirable.</p>
