<p>Lead the consultant-side risk and opportunity management function across both work packages. Establish, implement, maintain and continually improve project-wide risk management systems, processes and procedures. Prepare and maintain the Risk and Opportunity Management Plan in accordance with the contract and applicable Authority requirements. Develop, maintain and coordinate the qualitative and quantitative project risk registers, including risks affecting time, cost, quality, scope, safety, environment, stakeholders and interfaces. Ensure project risk registers are updated in the Authority s Active Risk Manager system, or another system specified by the Engineer, in accordance with required reporting cycles. Identify issues that may give rise to contractual claims for time or cost and support the development and monitoring of practical mitigation measures. Prepare clear risk dashboards, reports, trend analyses and management briefings for periodic reporting and decision-making. Provide risk input to project reviews, Gateway submissions, change-control processes, progress meetings, lessons learned and project close-out.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or an equivalent relevant discipline. More than 20 years of post-graduate professional experience, including at least 10 years of experience in a similar project or programme risk management role. Professional experience in the Middle East is required. Substantial experience working for an engineering consultant or Engineer s Representative on major roads, infrastructure and drainage construction supervision assignments. <p>Responsibilities Our newest opportunity is for a talented Assistant Resident Engineer (Drainage/Utilities) to join our team based in Doha, Qatar , supporting our drainage infrastructure projects and working on secondment to a major client. This critical role will be responsible for supporting the Resident Engineer in leading the construction supervision team and ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with the contract, programme, budget and required quality standards. <p>Prepare work inspection requests (WIR) for each construction activity and submit to consultant to ensure it covers all the construction activities done on site.</p><br>
<p>Check all incoming materials as per project specifications and approved material submittals.</p><br>
<p>Monitor WIRs and test reports and update the Quality Manager and site team on the status.</p><br>
<p>Establish and monitor control of QA/QC Plans, Method of Statements and Test Plans before commencement of the project and implementing it during the project in order to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.</p><br>
<p>Ensure that control of document procedures is implemented and all approved documents from consultant are distributed through the document control system.</p><br>

<p>Inspect all materials internally before offering inspection to the consultant, raising the NCR to the supplier in case the substandard material is delivered, the record of inspection shall be included in the month Quality report.</p><br>
<p>Monitor WIR and test reports and update Management, Construction Team, Planning, Quantity Surveyors and Cost Control Departments about the current job status.</p><br>
<p>Maintain the records of all work and material inspection and provide the data in the weekly progress meetings.</p><br>
<p>Record all test results and ensure it's availability for steel along with the mill certificates.</p><br>
<p>Make sure that logs are available along with the test reports for all types of test as per the approved testing matrix.</p><br>
<p>Checks concrete pour cards are maintained on daily basis and copy is provided to the storekeeper to raise the SRV and to the cost controller/QS</p><br>
<p>Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies</p><br>
