<p>Position Summary</p><br>
<p>The Static Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing high-level technical expertise,</p><br>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p><br>
<p>1. Engineering Design & Modification</p><br>
<p> Review and approve design calculations, data sheets, drawings, and technical</p><br>
<p>specifications for modifications or new procurement of pressure vessels, heat exchangers,</p><br>
<p>and tanks.</p><br>
<p> Generate and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Piping Material</p><br>
<p>Specifications (PMS), and Material Take-Offs (MTOs) to meet international standards (e.g.,</p><br>
<p>ASME, ANSI, API). Develop and review plot plans, equipment layouts and 3D models.</p><br>
<p>Route critical process, utility, and offsite pipelines.</p><br>
<p> Stress Analysis: Perform piping flexibility and stress analysis to ensure systems can</p><br>
<p>withstand high pressures, extreme temperatures, and vibrations.</p><br>
<p> Execute plant modifications via the formal Management of Change (MOC) protocol,</p><br>
<p>ensuring no compromise to process safety or plant design basis.</p><br>
<p> Prepare and approve technical deliverables for replacement projects, including scope of</p><br>
<p>work, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and vendor drawing reviews.</p><br>
<p>2. Turnaround & Maintenance Support</p><br>
<p> Define the technical scope for critical static equipment during scheduled plant shutdowns,</p><br>
<p>turnarounds, and outages.</p><br>
<p> Develop inspection and repair procedures for specialized high-pressure equipment,</p><br>
<p>including shell-and-tube heat exchangers, reformer tubes, and atmospheric storage tanks.</p><br>
<p>Internal</p><br>
<p> Supervise critical repair activities on-site, ensuring field welding, post-weld heat treatment</p><br>
<p>(PWHT), and non-destructive testing (NDT) comply with structural codes.</p><br>
<p>Collaborate with QA/QC and Inspection teams to review inspection findings, wall-thickness</p><br>
<p>reports, and eddy-current testing results to determine asset health.</p><br>
<p>3. Asset Integrity & Plant Reliability Support</p><br>
<p> Support Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations and remaining-life assessments for older or</p><br>
<p>degraded stationary equipment.</p><br>
<p> Support root cause analysis (RCA) on mechanical static equipment failures, structural</p><br>
<p>leaks, and chronic piping vibrating issues to implement definitive corrective actions.</p><br>
<p>4. Safety, Compliance & Mentorship</p><br>
<p> Enforce strict compliance with international codes, environmental criteria, and corporate</p><br>
<p>Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.</p><br>
<p> Participate as a core technical member in process safety workshops, including Hazard and</p><br>

<p>Job Purpose / Objective
Supervise shift personnel, resolve processing issues, ensure equipment reliability, and develop a strong workforce in order to achieve shift’s production goals while meeting safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Key Accountabilities
People Management
Supervise the activities and work performed by direct reports to ensure that it is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, in line with the business plans, and company policies and procedures.
Identify employees’ training and developmental needs and recommend plans to bridge the knowledge gaps to ensure continuous progression, and high-level of competence within the team.

Routine Duties?
Supervise unit operations to ensure that production targets are met in compliance with Life Critical Procedures, Tenets of Operations, Consent to Operate, plant policies and procedures, Daily Operating Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Perform comprehensive shift turnover. ??
Deliver a concise and clear instructions in conducting operational daily ‘’Toolbox Meetings’’.

Make necessary adjustments to the process in order to produce products within the required quality specifications.
Ensure timely completion of MICE PM’s and MICE corrective repairs.
Ensure equipment is prepared for any scheduled PM’s and SAP notifications are created for any maintenance CM jobs.
Lead JSA’s and ensures compliance to all safe operating procedures before releasing lines to maintenance.
Review and approve Safety Bypass Permits and LT&T energy isolation lists.
Cover the Maintenance Coordinator and work up as Operations Specialist and Shift Coordinator as needed.

Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
Ensure compliance with Life Critical Procedures, Tenets of Operations, Consent to Operate, plant policies and procedures, Daily Operating Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), MOC Process, and Quality Management System to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
