<br></span><p>Responsible for assessing patients' health and discuss which type of anaesthetic is suitable for them. To providing anaesthesia to patients for operations and procedures.</p><br>
<br><br><u><b>Job Responsibilities 1</b></u>
<br><p>Administer anesthetics and analgesics for pain management prior to, during, or after surgery.</p><br>
<p>Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.</p><br>
<p>Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.</p><br>
<p>Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.</p><br>
<p>Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods.</p><br>
<p>Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.</p><br>
<p>Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.</p><br>
<p>Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.</p><br>

<br><p>Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.</p><br>
<p>Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.</p><br>
<p>Actively participate in the planning and implementation of the department development plans and the different manpower training programs for the medical, technical and nursing staff in his/her area of expertise. </p><br>
<p>Participates in scheduling of on-call duties and provides on-call services. </p><br>
<p>Participates in the assessment and updating of drug, medical supply and equipment needs.</p><br>
<p>Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of the organization.</p><br>
<p>Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the Head of the department.</p><br>

<br><p>• Current and in a good standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.Perfect vision and visuospatial awareness.The ability to work well alone and within a team.</p><br>

<p>Military Medical City Hospital (MMCH) is seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynecology with subspecialty expertise in Maternal–Fetal Medicine (MFM)</strong>.</p><p>The successful candidate will provide advanced care for <strong>high-risk and complex pregnancies</strong>, with a strong focus on prenatal diagnosis, fetal assessment, maternal medical complications of pregnancy, and multidisciplinary management of high-risk obstetric patients.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Provide specialist and consultant-level management of <strong>high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal–fetal conditions</strong>.</li><li>Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasound, including <strong>fetal anatomy and anomaly scans, fetal growth assessment, cervical assessment, multiple pregnancy surveillance, and Doppler studies</strong>.</li><li>Assess and manage pregnancies complicated by maternal medical conditions, fetal abnormalities, fetal growth restriction, preterm birth risk, multiple gestation, and other high-risk obstetric conditions.</li><li>Provide <strong>prenatal diagnosis and counseling</strong> to patients and families.</li><li>Perform appropriate <strong>invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures</strong>, according to individual privileges and scope of practice, such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.</li><li>Develop individualized antenatal surveillance and delivery plans for complex pregnancies.</li><li>Work closely with Obstetrics & Gynecology, Neonatology/NICU, Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Genetics and other relevant specialties.</li><li>Participate in labor ward coverage, obstetric emergencies and consultant on-call duties as required.</li><li>Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship to junior physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team.</li><li>Participate in clinical governance, morbidity and mortality reviews, quality improvement, guideline development, teaching and departmental activities.</li><li>Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure practice is aligned with hospital policies and internationally recognized standards of care.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Medical degree from a recognized institution.</li><li>Recognized <strong>specialist/board qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology</strong>.</li><li>Formal <strong>fellowship, subspecialty training or recognized qualification in Maternal–Fetal Medicine / Fetal Medicine / High-Risk Obstetrics</strong>.</li><li>Western or internationally recognized board certification is highly preferred.</li><li>Extensive post-specialization experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology, with significant recent clinical practice in <strong>Maternal–Fetal Medicine</strong>.</li><li>Experience at <strong>Consultant/Senior Consultant level</strong> in a recognized tertiary or high-volume hospital is strongly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrable procedural and ultrasound experience supported by an appropriate <strong>clinical logbook</strong>.</li><li>Previous experience in teaching, clinical leadership, protocol development or quality improvement is desirable.</li><li>Must meet the eligibility requirements for <strong>Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), Ministry of Public Health – Qatar</strong> licensing and classification.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential MFM Expertise</strong></p><p>Candidates should demonstrate substantial recent experience in:</p><ul><li>High-risk pregnancy management</li><li>Advanced obstetric and fetal ultrasound</li><li>Detailed fetal anomaly scanning</li><li>Fetal growth and wellbeing assessment</li><li>Maternal and fetal Doppler studies</li><li>Multiple pregnancy management</li><li>Fetal growth restriction</li><li>Preterm birth assessment and prevention</li><li>Maternal medical disorders complicating pregnancy</li><li>Prenatal diagnosis and counseling</li><li>Invasive fetal diagnostic procedures, where appropriately trained and privileged</li><li>Multidisciplinary management and delivery planning for complex pregnancies</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
