<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Automotive Technician</strong> specializing in <strong>Wheel Alignment, Suspension, and Steering Systems</strong>. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in diagnosing faults and performing maintenance and repair work in accordance with quality and safety standards.</p><br><br><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><br><br><ul><li>Diagnose suspension and steering system faults using modern diagnostic equipment.</li><li>Perform wheel alignment services and adjust wheel alignment angles to manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Inspect, repair, and replace steering and suspension system components, including control arms, shock absorbers, air suspension components (where applicable), ball joints, tie rod ends, steering racks/gearboxes, suspension arms, bushings, and related components.</li><li>Inspect wheel bearings, hubs, and other suspension components, replacing damaged parts as required.</li><li>Check tire condition and air pressure and assess their impact on vehicle alignment and handling.</li><li>Conduct road tests before and after repairs to ensure the quality of work performed.</li><li>Operate wheel alignment machines and diagnostic equipment efficiently.</li><li>Prepare reports detailing diagnosed faults, completed repairs, and required spare parts.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area while complying with health and safety regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p><br><br><ul><li>Diploma in Automotive Mechanics or an equivalent qualification. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Department: TRANSPORT &amp; TRADING Reporting To: Workshop Manager / Division Manager Job Purpose: To independently diagnose, repair, overhaul, and maintain multi-brand heavy commercial vehicles using advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic diagnostic systems. The role ensures high vehicle uptime, first-time repair accuracy, and compliance with OEM and workshop standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM and multi-brand laptop-based diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults. Carry out engine, gearbox, differential, and clutch overhauls independently. Maintain and repair hydraulic systems including braking, steering, and auxiliary systems. Interpret wiring diagrams, fault codes, and technical service manuals. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for fleet operations. Support breakdown and roadside assistance operations when required. Ensure accurate documentation of all repair work and job cards. Maintain strict adherence to safety and workshop standards. We are seeking to hire a skilled heavy equipment technician to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment for our operations in Qatar who will be able to perform the below tasks:<br>Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance as per service schedules Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, dump trucks, and cranes Identify and repair faults in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and transmissions Maintain proper records of work completed Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults using diagnostic tools, software, and technical documentation. Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems. Inspect vehicles, replace worn or defective components, perform system adjustments, and conduct road tests to verify repair quality. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to accurately troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines while maintaining accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and repair records. Support workshop and fleet operations by managing spare parts and tools, maintaining a clean work environment Replace damaged or worn parts and components Carry out routine servicing, oil changes, and safety checks Read and follow service manuals and job cards Follow safety rules and HSE guidelines at all times Attend on-site breakdowns when required<br>Knowledge Skills and Experience:Qualifications: Diploma In mechanical /ITI Mechanic.
