<p>Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required. Carry out daily checks on contractor's staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications. <p>Provide technical guidance to support the Utilities AMP functions as required by the contract. This position will be in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP), and it is located at Al Udeid Air Base (AUAB), Doha, Qatar. <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span><u><b>Job Summary</b></u> <br></span><p>The Senior Planning Manager manages the planning requirements of the project by leading a team of planning professionals and coordinating with the project team with the objective of complying with the contract schedule, communicating the impact on the schedule and advising mitigating measures.</p><br> <br><br><u><b>Job Responsibilities 1</b></u> <br><p>Lead and advise on managing and delivering town planning functions and responsibilities for the organization’s projects and programs.</p><br> <p>Develop, implement, and monitor best management practices for the delivery and execution of planning commitments.</p><br> <p>Manage and liaise with the team to create and implement strategies and plans, identifying risks and recommending mitigating actions.</p><br> <p>Produce and manage schedules for design, procurement, construction, and completion, ensuring compliance with planning procedures and contractual requirements.</p><br> <p>Evaluate and analyze project progress using status reports to assess performance and provide accurate forecasts.</p><br> <p>Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and authorities to update and manage detailed work programs and planning matters.</p><br> <p>Obtain and analyze progress updates from the planning team to ensure alignment with project schedules.</p><br> <p>Conduct analysis of alternative schedules and options to address market fluctuations, changes, or unforeseen events, improving delivery strategies.</p><br> <p>Review and evaluate subcontractor schedules and reports, recommending actions to align with the contract schedule.</p><br> <p>Manage subcontractor schedules in line with baseline/contract schedules and recommend actions to address any schedule slippage.</p><br> <p>Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies</p><br> <br><br><u><b>Job Responsibilities 2</b></u> <br><br><b>Additional Responsibilities 3</b> <br><br><u><b>Job Knowledge &amp; Skills</b></u> <br><p>Knowledge in Principles of Planning and Project Management</p><br> <p>Knowledge in Construction Law, Change Management, and principles and practices of research and data collection</p><br> <p>Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Cost Objectives</p><br> <p>Familiarity with Planning practices and the associated software such as Advanced Primavera6</p><br> <p>Knowledge in building construction planning and scheduling</p><br> <p>Strong cost control knowledge and knowledge in preparation of EOT claims and delay analysis</p><br> <p>Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes</p><br> <p>Familiar with local and international standards in construction</p><br> <p>ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.</p><br> <br><br><u><b>Job Experience</b></u> <br><p>Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus</p><br><br><br><u><b>Competencies</b></u> <br>Agility<br>AI Fluency<br>Resilience<br>Quality<br>Leadership<br>Project Resource Management L4<br>Cash Flow Analysis L4<br>Primavera Project Planner L4<br>Revenue Forecasting L4<br>Project Tracking and Reporting L4<br>Build High-Performing Teams<br>Speed of Execution<br>Build Process and Systems<br>Provide Direction<br>Drive Cost Optimization<br><br><br><u><b>Education</b></u> <br>Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering<br>Profesional degree in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) or PMP<br><br><br><br> </div>
