Join us.</p><br><br>Job Description<br><p>The Contracts & Commercial Specialist will be responsible for the effective management and administration of Works Contractors and General Engineering Consultants (GECs) engaged across major infrastructure projects. The role will oversee GEC design and supervision contracts, supervision-only services, contract changes, addendums, claims, tender documentation, procurement reporting, and commercial procedures.</p><br><p>The position requires strong knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes, with particular emphasis on PWA procedures, Qatar Government requirements, PWA and administration requirements.</li><li>Ensure all contract and commercial activities comply with applicable contractual requirements, PWA procedures, and relevant Qatar Government regulations.</li><li>Prepare and maintain monthly and weekly procurement, GEC CVA, and GEC appointment progress reports.</li><li>Prepare various commercial, procurement, and contract administration reports and presentations as required by management.</li><li>Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to obtain required PWA approvals and ensure timely progression of commercial submissions.</li><li>Identify commercial and contractual issues that may affect project delivery and support the team in developing appropriate solutions.</li><li>Ensure accurate documentation, resolving commercial and contractual delivery challenges.</li></ul><br>Qualifications<br><ul><li>Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience in contracts, commercial management, quantity surveying, procurement, or contract administration.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working on major infrastructure projects is mandatory.</li><li>Strong experience in the administration of Works Contractor and GEC contracts.</li><li>Experience with GEC design and supervision and supervision-only contracts is highly desirable.</li><li>Proven experience in claims administration, change management, contract variations, CVAs, tender documentation, and procurement processes.</li><li>Strong knowledge of PWA contract and procurement procedures and Qatar Government The role will oversee the complete commercial and contractual lifecycle of projects, including budgeting, cost estimating, procurement, tendering, contract administration, change management, claims, and manage variations, impact assessments, value engineering proposals, provisional sums, prime cost sums, and other commercial changes.</li><li>Administer contractual claims, including assessment, The ideal candidate has deep experience with AI/ML application development, can think strategically about how to solve a problem, is an excellent listener, is comfortable getting into the weeds operationally, and has a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
