Primary Purpose Of The Job<br><br>Assist delivery of the strategic vision for Qatar Energy Trading’s transformation, aligning it with long-term goals and architecture. Working with key stakeholders to elaborate requirements, design and implement efficient application solutions. Manage products backlogs and work with technical teams on implementation. Work collaboratively and bring parties together from within IT and the commercial functions. Strong understanding of commodity markets (LNG is preferred), trading strategies, related organization, processes, risk management principles and related technologies solutions (C/ETRM, Fleet Management, Trading Platform, Market Analytics, etc). End-to-end, multi-disciplinary knowledge is required in areas such as Commodities trading, Shipping and Finance with advanced knowledge of the front-to-back office trade lifecycle. Specialized experience in at least one area, such as Physical LNG Trading, Cargo Operations, Shipping, Derivative & Emission Trading, Trading Risk and Finance, or Portfolio Optimization. Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills. Ability to work with the unknown, own problems and make decisions. Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements. Proven ability to manage backlog and relevant documentations with development team. <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <ul> <li>Reporting to Head of Construction, the Construction Specialist is responsible for managing the lifting and scaffolding activities, including protection of all project materials from preparation stage to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.</li> </ul><br><ul> <li>Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process.</li> <li>Manages and ensures successful execution of Topsides project lifting &amp; Scaffolding works to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).</li> <li>To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the lifting &amp; Scaffolding, to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.</li> <li>To assess the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance with all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor.</li> <li>To review deviations to LNG construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers, as built …) for the construction activities.</li> <li>Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.</li> <li>Review Contractor's progress reports and reports for all the activities, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any.</li> <li>To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all lifting &amp; scaffolding subject, to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.</li> <li>To Participate in Risk Assessments, kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.</li> <li>To participate in REX and Lessons Learned for the Company.</li> </ul><br><ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering</li> <li>8 years overall experience with Large Projects in Construction related to lifting &amp; scaffolding in the Oil &amp; Gas Industry, including strong experience in a specialist role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
