The<br><br>Examinations and Assessment Lead has overall responsibility for the management<br><br>and operation of the Examinations and Assessment team. The role is accountable<br><br>for the effective planning, delivery, monitoring and review of all examinations<br><br>and assessment activities within the Technical Institute.<br><br>The role<br><br>provides assurance to the Technical Institute Contract & Assurance Manager<br><br>and the Head of the Technical Institute that examinations and assessment are<br><br>being delivered in accordance with a defined, compliant and consistently<br><br>applied assessment strategy covering all training programmes.<br><br>The<br><br>Examinations and Assessment Lead is responsible for management of student data,<br><br>the ongoing review of examinations and assessment operations, the systematic<br><br>collection and analysis of performance data, and the identification of risks,<br><br>trends and improvement actions that impact learner outcomes.<br><br>The role<br><br>ensures that all required assessment policies, procedures and controls are<br><br>implemented and adhered to in accordance with the contractual requirements and<br><br>those of external awarding and regulatory bodies, (e.g. City & Guilds and<br><br>the Ministry of Education and Higher Education).<br><br>Internal<br><br>audits, assessment analysis, moderation outcomes and course performance reports<br><br>will inform decision-making and recommendations. Identify assessment-related training needs and implement appropriate training and standardisation activities for staff involved in invigilation, marking, checking, or assessment delivery. Located on Al Udeid Airbase in Doha, the Qatar Technical Institute provides internationally recognized training programs to the all three services that make up the Qatar Armed Forces. The QTI training pipeline consists of Foundation Training, General Engineering and Specialty Type Training. Supporting Qatar vision 2030, this ensures QAF personnel are equipped with appropriate skills and knowledge for a career in the Armed Forces.<br><br>About The Role Holder<br><br>The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the coordination of the Project Management (inc. Continuous Improvement) activities in support of successful delivery of Training and Instructional output for the Qatar Armed Forces (QAF). The incumbent will be capable of overseeing the day-to-day activities within the Project Management team, managing all project control mechanisms and processes and working closely with with the Qatar Program Office (QPO) and Qatar Branch Office (QBO) to maintain a robust, manageable project management and control system. Supporting Contract Closure activities for QTI/Facilities CSRs. Managing and coordinating the application of an effective ‘Good Ideas’ and ‘Continuous Improvement’ process that will make a material difference to operational and financial performance of the QTI. Provide support to the PM Lead in managing, monitoring and controlling the Technical Institute and/or Facilities CSR, ensuring timely and high quality inputs are provided through Management to the Head of the Technical Institute and Qatar Programme. The Mechanical Engineering (MEEN) Program of Texas A&M University at Qatar (http://www.qatar.tamu.edu/) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant level. The position is in the areas of robotics and autonomous systems, with preference given to candidates with expertise in emerging technologies with novel theoretical developments and practical applications, such as industrial robotics; control, autonomous systems; intelligent robotics for exploration, manufacturing, and construction; advanced sensor and actuation technologies; mechatronics and human-machine interaction and applications of artificial intelligence to robotics and autonomous systems. Faculty at Texas A&M University Qatar Campus (TAMUQ) are of two types: instructional track and research track. This position is a research-track position at the assistant level. The official title for this position is Research Assistant Professor, with the working title of Engineering Assistant Professor.
