The Mechanical Engineering (MEEN) Program of Texas A&M University at Qatar (http://www.qatar.tamu.edu/) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant level. The position is in the areas of robotics and autonomous systems, with preference given to candidates with expertise in emerging technologies with novel theoretical developments and practical applications, such as industrial robotics; control, autonomous systems; intelligent robotics for exploration, manufacturing, and construction; advanced sensor and actuation technologies; mechatronics and human-machine interaction and applications of artificial intelligence to robotics and autonomous systems. Faculty at Texas A&M University Qatar Campus (TAMUQ) are of two types: instructional track and research track. This position is a research-track position at the assistant level. The official title for this position is Research Assistant Professor, with the working title of Engineering Assistant Professor. Research-track faculty at TAMUQ are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop an independent research program, as well as to engage through scholarship within the university and their discipline.<br><br>This non-tenure track position assumes a 9-month academic appointment with an anticipated start date of Spring 2024 or Fall 2024, depending on the applicant's availability. The hired faculty member is eligible to receive a startup package that covers the summer salary for three years. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Secondary to provide visionary leadership across our secondary school, driving academic excellence, developing a high-performing team and embedding a culture of high aspiration and international-mindedness.</span></p><br> <p><strong><span>The role:</span></strong></p><br> <p><span>We seek an individual to join as Head of Secondary where your focus will be:</span></p><br> <ul>
<li><span>Providing strategic leadership and direction for the secondary school in line with the IB MYP philosophy and EGA's School Strategic Plan</span></li>
<li><span>Championing the IB Middle Years Programme and ensuring high-quality, concept-driven and inquiry-based teaching and learning</span></li>
<li><span>Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing secondary teaching team through coaching, appraisal and CPD</span></li>
<li><span>Driving whole-school improvement through effective monitoring, evaluation, data analysis and self-review processes</span></li>
<li><span>Building strong, positive relationships with students, parents and the wider school community</span></li>
<li><span>Collaborating with the Principal, MYP Coordinator and SLT to deliver the School Improvement Plan</span></li>
<li><span>Ensuring excellent student welfare, pastoral care and wellbeing across the secondary school</span></li>
<li><span>Overseeing timetabling, curriculum planning and academic reporting for the secondary school</span></li>
<li><span>Promoting student agency, the IB learner profile and international-mindedness across all year groups</span></li>
</ul> <p><strong><span>The Successful Candidate will possess:</span></strong></p><br> <ul>
<li><span>A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent) and a relevant degree</span></li>
<li><span>Significant senior leadership experience in an IB school, with a strong knowledge of the MYP</span></li>
<li><span>A proven track record of school improvement and raising student outcomes</span></li>
<li><span>Experience leading, developing and inspiring high-performing teaching teams</span></li>
<li><span>Excellent data literacy and the ability to use assessment information to drive improvement</span></li>
<li><span>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills</span></li>
<li><span>A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children</span></li>
<li><span>International school experience, ideally within the Middle East (desirable)</span></li>
