Key Responsibilities

  1. Documentation Development:
  2. Create and maintain operational documentation in compliance with company policies, international standards, and ISO 9000 & 14000 requirements.
  3. Procedure Revalidation:
  4. Regularly review and update procedures and standing instructions to ensure accuracy and relevance for safe and efficient plant operations.
  5. Criticality Assessment:
  6. Evaluate and assign criticality levels to operational procedures to prioritize updates and reviews.
  7. Technical Writing:
  8. Produce high-quality technical and safety documents that reflect industry best practices and company lessons learned.
  9. Competency Assurance:
  10. Develop assessment packages for Operations and Maintenance procedures to support staff competency validation.
  11. Review Facilitation:
  12. Coordinate reviews and gather input to ensure documentation reflects “As-is” and “As-built” conditions.
  13. Continuous Improvement:
  14. Identify opportunities to enhance operational documentation and mitigate business risks.
  15. Change Management:
  16. Ensure technical changes are communicated and reflected across all relevant documentation and competency assessments.
  17. Operational Support:
  18. Collaborate with Operations teams to develop procedural solutions for varying operating conditions.
  19. Document Review Administration:
  20. Manage the review process to ensure stakeholder feedback is accurately captured and implemented.
  21. Graphics & Drawings Coordination:
  22. Work with the Graphics Officer and Engineering documentation team to ensure updates to P&IDs are reflected in simplified drawings.


Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in process operations within LNG production.
  • At least 3 years as a technical author in the hydrocarbon or petrochemical industry.

Skills & Competencies

  • Language:
  • Expert-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS SharePoint.
  • Skilled in desktop publishing, project planning, flowcharts, graphics, and technical drawing tools.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong coordination, analytical thinking, and technical writing abilities.

  • All activities must comply with company SHE and Quality policies and standards.
  • Qatarization:
  • Support the development of Qatari employees (mandatory for expatriate staff).
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to anti-trust laws and company firewall policies.
